| The article that
follows is my account of a 3-year journey that started with a diagnosis I received of a
terminal disorder that began at my birth nearly 50 years ago. It's a rare disease of
the liver that often culminates in a transplant of the liver or lungs or both to enable
the continuance of a normal life. This is MY STORY of the
JOURNEY that led me to a LIVER TRANSPLANT and made possible the QUALITY of LIFE
