Rich Man's World

Church's informant, Jonah is waiting in the car. It is late at night and he is nervous. Suddenly he receives a call from well known crime drug lord Tony Fenandaz, who's sitting watching on in a nearby car with another associate. JONAH: (Answers his phone) Yeah! FENANDAZ: Hey Jonah! I'm counting on you. Don't go cold on me. JONAH: I said I'd do it, ok. FENANDAZ: This didn't need to happen you know that. A man should be more careful about his friends. JONAH: Just let me do it, alright! Just let me do it. FENANDAZ: Well a man's got to do what a man's got to do. The camera shot zooms in on the gun that Jonah is holding in his hands. As he looks on outside, he is shaky and nervous. Danni suddenly comes into view driving a sporty white car and pulls into the car park. She steps out of the car carrying some groceries in each hand. Jonah seizes the moment to step out of the car and starts making his way over towards Danni, hiding the gun behind his back. DANNI: (Turns around to see Jonah standing a few metres away from her) Hi! Just in time to help me with the shopping. Jonah pulls out the gun shooting her in the chest and abdomin, the bullet deflecting off the protective vest she's whereing underneath. Danni falls to the ground pretending to play dead. FENANDAZ: Let's go ( He and his associate drive away in their blue vehicle assuming her to be dead). A little later on Mac and all the other police are gathered on the scene of the crime. There is tape all around marking the scene of the crime in an attempt to make it look authentic. MAC: (Opens the back of the ambulence and jumps in unzipping the body bag where Danni is lying) Ok! sleeping beauty, shows over. DANNI: (opens her eyes) Think they bought it? MAC: Well they better have.

Back at the crimplex Church has just arrived back from paying a visit to Jonah. He and Mac start making their way to the briefing room. MAC: Is Jonah going to contact him? PETE: No! It's safer to wait for Fenandaz to call immediately. The last thing we want right now is jonah looking pushy. MAC: How is he? PETE: He's cool. MAC: Well i'll be pleased when we're finished with this guy. There's way too much writing on him. PETE: He'll come good. MAC: (walks into the briefing room followed closely by Pete) Well I don't need to remind you how far over budget we are on this. Upstairs are asking questions. So this heroine shipment they're holding back on better materialize and soon. DANNI: There's nothing to stop him now I'm dead. MAC: If they buy it, and if they don't we'll have to pull Jonah out of there fast. I don't want to have to explain that upstairs. PETE: Or the new haircut. MAC: Owi!(Exits) ANGIE: (Enters) So how's it feel to be dead? DANNI: (Looking down at her obituary notes) Tell you when I've read my obituary. PETE: Oh my God! (looking at the dental bill his just received in the post) ANGIE: Bad news? PETE: Dentist bill. DANNI: I told you to go to Dr. Holme. PETE: I'm not going to a backyard dentist who's going to mess around with my teeth. DANNI: he's not a backyard dentist and he wouldn't mess around with your teeth or your wallet, ouch. Can you afford that? PETE: I'll manage. DANI: I'm glad it's you and not me. I'd have to take out a loan. PETE: Yeah right!
