Brian: It's definitely the $2,000,000 from the armored car robbery. Sweet, thanks Mate. Well there you go five years ago. Reserved bank delivery the International Bank in Exhibition Street.
Mac: That would be fresh minted note numbered consecutively?
Brian: Therefore easy to trace and impossible for the robbers to use.
Mac: So the money's being missing for five years, oh, he's lucky.

Brian: Come on. Look I'm not sure exactly how but that old fart is definitely involved in this robbery.
Mac: No, hang on Brian.
Brian: He steels the money, then he finds out he can't use it. So what does he do? Buries it. Then the Security Company announces a reward. Well its only 10% still a jolly good days work isn't it! So what does he do? He leaves it in the ground till he's in the mood to come and collect it. Cool as a bloody cucumber.
Mac: And this is based on.
Brian: Well I read people, Mac, you know I have a nose for these sort things. In the same way that I sense that certain special something between us.
Mac: I think that's called an overactive imagination, Brian.

After Stone and Danni have failed to get any information out of Ben Jones regarding a five year old bank robbery, the unit attempts a different tactic sending in Peter Church and his informant Nathan Hatfield to organise a business deal as a set up to catch Ben out. All goes ahead as planed until an unexpected development takes place resulting in tragic consequences.

Celia: Go on.
Camera shot goes across the Mac and Angie in the Com-V.
Mac: This is a mess what was Grey doing?
Angie: Yep, backup on the way, armed robbery want a word.
Camera shot goes back to the house where the hostages are.
Nathan: Ben, You've got to let me go mate. I didn't want to get involved. He made me do it.
Ben: Celia, this man's a police officer too.
Peter: Celia, this is too big for you, don't make it worse, don't make it worse.
Brian: (interrupting.) Just, just put the gun down, put the gun down...
Celia: Shut up, all of you get down. I mean now.
This, this I'll get ugly. Good now put your hands on your head where I can see them.
Ben: What now?
Celia: I don't know. I need to think.
Ben: But Celia, we don't have a plan. There are too many variables.
Peter: Celia, Just think about this you're not going to get very far.
Ben: He's right Ceil. We should know our limitations.
Brian: That's a very good point. Listen to what he's saying there. Now listen; let's talk this through. Give me the gun.

(Just then Celia fires the gun. The bullet narrowly missing Nathan's head).

The camera shot goes back over to the house next door where Danni and Oscar are listening in through a monitoring devise. The gunshot startles them causing Stone to look around.

Camera shot goes back to the hostages.

Nathan: Shit.
Celia: Oh, stay where you are or I'll be putting the next shot through his head.
Nathan: You're a bloody dick head man. What a bulls-up. You cops are a joke.
Celia: Shut up! Everybody just keep Quiet.
Ben: It's all right Celia. I'll come up with a plan. I just need to consider all the...
Celia: You and your bloody variables.
Ben: That's not fair it was my detail that helped you work everything out.
Celia: That's right. I worked it out, now I'm taking charge again.
Ben: Yes dear.

Back to the Com-V with Mac and Angie.

Mac: How are we going with the roadblocks?
Angie: In progress, backup mediae is five minutes.
Mac: All right I'll call a negotiator, get him here soon, and can you call an ambulance just in case.
Angie: Yep.
Camera shot goes back over to Danni and Oscars place.
Danni: Somebody’s getting flustered.
Oscar: I can get Ben to listen to me.
Danni: Negotiators on their way.
Oscar: They're taking too long.
Danni: Where you going?
Camera shot goes back over to Mac and Angie in the Com-V van.
Mac: He what? (Angie points to Stone running across the front lawn on the surveillance screen) Oh, bloody hell, Stone.
Oscar: Hallo Ben. (Knocks on the front door)
Ben: It's James.
Celia: Well get rid of him.
Ben: Oh, hallo there, James. Listen, could, could you maybe come back a little later, where just a bit...
Oscar: I need to talk to you URGENTLY Ben.
(Bursts through the front door to find Celia holding Church, Nathan Hatfeld, Brian Jones and his colleague Kevin hostage) What's going on Ben?

Just then Stone and Church lurch forward to grab the gun off Celia, almost simultaneously. The camera shot goes back to the Com-V van where Mac and Angie are listening in.

Mac: What's going on?
(Just then a loud bang can be heard in the background as a gunshot is fired. Brian races into arrest Ben when the shot is fired; turning around only to find out the Stone has been shot. You can see a camera shot of Stone lying on top of Celia, before looking down to discover he'd been shot, rolling onto his back and clutching his chest with his right hand, and struggling to breath. Celia, who is covered in his blood, is then helped up by Brian).

Peter: STONIE, OH MATE! SCENE SECURE. OFFICER DOWN!
Officer: (Camera shot goes back to Mac and Angie in the Com-V) GET THE PARAMEDICS IN HERE NOW!
Mac: (simultaneously) Alfa one to base. Scene secure.
We've got one officer down with suspected gunshot wound. (Loud irregular breathing can be heard in the background) Camera shot goes back to Church.
Peter: MAC! OFFICER DOWN. Keep breathing, mate, we've got you.
Danni enters the room to find Stone lying on the floor with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Danni: Stonie.
Peter: WHERE ARE THE PARAMEDICS?
Danni: Right behind me.
Celia: Oh God.
Peter: (Talking to Oscar) Come on mate. Stay with me.
Danni: Stonie, Stonie, keep breathing mate.
Peter: Stay here. Stay with me.
Paramedic: What's his name?
Danni: Oscar Stone.
Paramedic: Come on mate out of the way (addressing Church) Come on, we need access here. Oscar can you hear me. Oscar!
Peter: STONIE, hold on mate.
