Chad's first year of life was Grandpa's last year. We are thankful that Chad was able to know his Grandpa and spend quality time with him when they were together. Since Chad was Grandpa's only grandson, we think Grandpa and Chad had a special bond. Grandpa even had Chad laughing at a very early age.

We all miss Grandpa very much. But we are comforted in knowing that he is up in heaven with other family members and friends looking over us every day.

I AM FREE

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I am following the path God laid for me.

I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.

Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found my peace the other day.

If parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with time of sorrow,
Wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow.

My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good times,
A loved one touched.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.

Remember the life you shared with me...and
Remember me...remember, I'm free.
