Click here for examples of patterns and photos. How to choose your photo: Make sure that the photo you choose is clear and doesn't have a very detailed background. The less cluttered the background is the better your pattern will turn out. Remember, what you see on your photo is what will be on your pattern! *I can remove unwanted items from your photo, or completely remove a background for a fee. Photos can also be cropped per your specifications. You might use this if you want a close up of a person, or maybe just a portion of a landscape. Make sure to make your requirements as clear as possible on the order form. I have completed two patterns myself. Both of people and they have turned out quite well. One or Two people work very well! If you have more that two people, your finished project should be larger in size. At least 11 x 14" otherwise you will loose detail and the photo will look more like an impressionist painting. I have made a cross stitch of four people, I made it large and it turned out beautiful! Click here to see examples of the photo, pattern and finished project. Of course, you can choose anything for your pattern. Pets, a vacation spot, family portraits, even an original drawing or painting. (of course, I would prefer not to receive any photo or artwork larger than 8 1/2" x 14") Choosing your stitch count and finished project size: Make sure you indicate what size aida count you are going to be using and what the approximate finished size you would like. The finished size will not be exact but, I will try to get it as close as possible to what you are asking for. If you must have an exact finished size please let me know. Choosing the number of colors for your finished project: The more colors of threads you use, the more realistic your finished project will look. In my experience, 30 colors work well. Obviously more colors are better. But, take into consideration the amount of work 50 colors is going to be! I do not recommend anything lower that 20 colors. The less colors you use the less detail your finished project will have. The thread colors are not exact to your photograph. They are very close and I try to match as best as possible. You will see a slight difference in the cross stitch. See my examples for the slight variation in color. When will I receive my order? I will have your order in the mail within a week of receiving it. I will send you an email to let you know when your order has shipped. What am I getting? For $15.00 - US dollars, you will receive one black and white pattern, floss chart, and instructions. You can request more patterns at $3.00 each. Your photo will be returned to you with your pattern. |
