MASS INTENTIONS

Please remember to offer Masses for your special intentions; especially your departed loved ones.  Also, please pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life in Canada.

We need to be close to Jesus Christ in his Eucharistic Sacrifice.

If you would like a Mass said, please see Father Joe.

Did you know that to pray the Rosary is a way to be with Jesus and Mary.  We are meditating on their life from the Gospels.

You are invited to join us Tuesday-Friday 8:40 a.m. all year to recite the Rosary.

PASTORAL CONVENOR

Welcome to Linda West who has accepted the position of pastoral convenor on parish council.  Linda brings a great deal of training in this area and her new ideas and suggestions will certainly be welcome.  This committee is responsible for the coordination of various works of charity within and outside of the parish population.  It cares for the poor by providing assistance for the indigent of the parish and by contributing to community efforts for the needy such as the Caring and Sharing program.  It is responsible for the coordination of volunteer drivers to bring parishioners to Mass on Sundays.  Should the need arise, it shall coordinate parish efforts for refugees and immigrants.  This committee will also coordinate parish effort for the reconciliation of non-churched Catholics within our parish boundary.  Linda will also be doing visiting to the hospital and to senior citizen homes both in Morden and Winkler.  If you know of someone in the hospital or in our senior homes that would like a visit please give Linda a call.  She will be more than happy to hear from you.  Again, Linda, welcome aboard!

Catholic saints are holy people and human people who lived extraordinary lives. Each saint the Church honors responded to God's invitation to use his or her unique gifts. God calls each one of us to be a saint.

March 19 St. Joseph

The Bible pays Joseph the highest compliment: he was a “just” man. The quality meant a lot more than faithfulness in paying debts.

When the Bible speaks of God “justifying” someone, it means that God, the all-holy or “righteous” One, so transforms a person that the individual shares somehow in God’s own holiness, and hence it is really “right” for God to love him or her. In other words, God is not playing games, acting as if we were lovable when we are not.
