LET US PRAY

We offer prayers today for all of our sick.  Please remember to pray for Jordan Myers,  Gerry Wood, Leah Beattie, Henry Knaggs, Anne Halabicki, Elsie Hink, Janette Warnock, Marcel Knockaert, and Liz Burroughs.

Please pray for our Good Shepherd, Archbishop Emilius Goulet, Bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Boniface.

MASS INTENTIONS

Please remember to offer Masses for your special intentions; especially your departed loved ones.  Also, please pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life in Canada.

We need to be close to Jesus Christ in his Eucharistic Sacrifice.

If you would like a Mass said, please see Father Joe.

Did you know that praying the Rosary in church, you gain a plenary indulgence?  Check it out in the green books, pages 40-42.

Rejoice, Jesus Christ is Risen! Alleluia!

During the Easter season we say Queen of Hearts, page 83 instead of the Angelus.  We will also meditate on the Glorious Mysteries on Mon., Wed. and Friday. On Thursday, we meditate on the mysteries of light to remind us Jesus among us.

You are invited to join us in praying the Rosary, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:40 a.m.

CONDOLENCES

We extend heartfelt sympathies and condolences to Barry and Maureen Titchkosky and family on the loss of Maurice Cyrille Devloo.  In prayer, we petition:

Eternal rest grant unto Maurice Cyrille Devloo our friend, O God. And may perpetual light shine upon him.

spring window washing fund-raiser

We will be holding our spring window washing fund-raiser on May the 1st.  We will be starting at nine in the morning and go until about three in the afternoon.  We will be breaking for lunch at the church.  This is a very good fund-raiser for us.  Last year we raised over $4000.00.  If we get lots of help it is quite an easy day and very good fellowship.  All places to be done are pre-booked so there is very little soliciting to do the day of the event.  It is a very good day, we just need you to come out and help.  Other than perogy making, this is the first fund-raiser for the year 2004 so let's make it a good one.  I will be calling everyone to help so say yes when asked to do so. Also need someone to chair the garage/perennial plants sale to be held on May the 15.  Anyone interested, please call me as soon as possible. Thanks to everyone for their continued

help.  It is very much appreciated.                                Denis.

RETIREMENT BANQUET

Immediately following the 11:15 Mass.

Thank-you!!

·          To Dave Sanders  for helping out the Altar Servers

Catholic saints are holy people and human people who lived extraordinary lives. Each saint the Church honors responded to God's invitation to use his or her unique gifts. God calls each one of us to be a saint.

 April 13 St. Martin I (d. 655)

When Martin I became pope in 649, Constantinople was the capital of the Byzantine empire and the patriarch of Constantinople was the most influential Church leader in the eastern Christian world. The struggles that existed within the Church at that time were magnified by the close cooperation of emperor and patriarch.
