Please pray for our Good Shepherd, Archbishop Emilius Goulet, Bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Boniface.

Saints: Timothy and Titus

Timothy (d. 97?): What we know from the New Testament of Timothy’s life makes it sound like that of a modern harried bishop. He had the honor of being a fellow apostle with Paul, both sharing the privilege of preaching the gospel and suffering for it.

Timothy had a Greek father and a Jewish mother named Eunice. Being the product of a “mixed” marriage, he was considered illegitimate by the Jews. It was his grandmother, Lois, who first became Christian. Timothy was a convert of Paul around the year 47 and later joined him in his apostolic work. He was with Paul at the founding of the Church in Corinth. During the 15 years he worked with Paul, he became one of his most faithful and trusted friends. He was sent on difficult missions by Paul—often in the face of great disturbance in local Churches which Paul had founded. For more information go to www.americancatholic.org

PEROGY MAKERS

The perogy sales have been a huge success again this past year as they have raised $12,548.51.    WOW!!! Congratulations!!

There are MANY people to thank for their WEEKLY dedication. Thank you to the perogy sellers, potato peelers, perogy packers, dough makers, dough rollers, perogy pinchers, fabulous kitchen staff, those who order the supplies and those coordinating orders. This couldn't happen without everyone's cooperation. Thank you !!

The current CWL executive has now completed their two year term of office and efforts to fill these positions are under way.  Nomination forms have been put in all 2003 members' mailboxes.  Please take the time to consider how you may be of service.  Before you hand in your nomination forms, please contact your nominee of choice for each position. Nominees should be willing to let their name stand for the office nominated.  Please return Nomination Forms, even if only partially completed, by Sunday February 1st to me - Denise Aune - or place in mailbox #5.

If you have received your First Holy Communion already, you could join our ranks as a Server at Mass!  We will provide training for you.  We really need to increase the size of our group and would be very happy to hear that you want to join us.  Please call Julie Kalinowski at 822-8023 to volunteer.  You will be helping with something big. . . Mass!
