LET US PRAY

We offer prayers today for all of our sick.  Please remember to pray for Kendra Lea, Gerry Wood, Stephanie Sanders, Leah Beattie, Henry Knaggs, Anne Halabicki, Maria Reichert, Elsie Hink, Janette Warnock, John Hoes, Marcel Knockaert, and Liz Burroughs.

Please pray for our Good Shepherd, Archbishop Emilius Goulet, Bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Boniface.

MASS INTENTIONS

Please remember to offer Masses for your special intentions; especially your departed loved ones.  Also, please pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life in Canada.

We need to be close to Jesus Christ in his Eucharistic Sacrifice.

If you would like a Mass said, please see Father Joe.

Did you know that Pope John Paul II declared this year as the year of the Rosary?

To pray the Rosary is a way to be with Jesus and Mary.  We are meditating on their life from the Gospels.

You are invited to join us Tuesday-Friday 8:40 a.m. all year to recite the Rosary.

PROMISE OF MARRIAGE ( Manitou)

JUSTIN GRIFFITH & GRACE SANDERS

To be married in our Church on November

 22nd, 2003 at 2:30 p.m.

TEACHING SCRIPTURE TO OUR CHILDREN

“Here, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD alone…”  This passage, see Dueteronomy 6:4-9, provides the central theme of Deuteronomy.  It sets a pattern that helps us relate the Word of God to our daily lives.  We are to love God, think constantly about his commandments to our children, and live each day by the guidelines in his Word.  God emphaisized the importance of parents’ teaching the Bible to their children. The church and Christian Schools cannot be used to escape from this responsibility.  Eternal truths are most effectively learned in the loving environment of a God-fearing home.

TEA & BAKE SALE

The annual Catholic Tea & Bake Sale is coming up very quickly on Saturday, December 7th from 2 - 4 pm. In the next week or so the parish families will be called for donations of baking.  Last year was our best ever and we thank you in advance for your generous donations of baking.  It was awesome!!!!!!    With the monies raised we have been able to support the youth of our parish, the catechetic program, the parish and our "kitchen fund" for our new parish.

Baking can be brought to the church Friday night from 7 – 9 pm or after 12 noon on Saturday

Please join us on Dec. 6th and purchase some home made Christmas baking. And best of all, sit down and join your friends for a cup of coffee or tea and a delicious piece of dessert.  What a great way to spend an afternoon with friends!!!

The sign-up sheet for the day of the Christmas Tea and Bake Sale is posted  at the back of the church.  Please take a few minutes after Mass to check it  out and volunteer your help.
