LET US PRAY

We offer prayers today for all of our sick.  Please remember to pray for Gaston Sanders, Kendra Lea, Gerry Wood, Stephanie Sanders, Leah Beattie, Henry Knaggs, Anne Halabicki, Maria Reichert, Elsie Hink, Janette Warnock, John Hoes, Marcel Knockaert, and Liz Burroughs.

Please pray for our Good Shepherd, Archbishop Emilius Goulet, Bishop of the Archdiocese of St. Boniface.

MASS INTENTIONS

Please remember to offer Masses for your special intentions; especially your departed loved ones.  Also, please pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life in Canada.

We need to be close to Jesus Christ in his Eucharistic Sacrifice.

If you would like a Mass said, please see Father Joe.

Did you know that Pope John Paul II declared this year as the year of the Rosary?

To pray the Rosary is a way to be with Jesus and Mary.  We are meditating on their life from the Gospels.

You are invited to join us Tuesday-Friday 8:40 a.m. all year to recite the Rosary.

SEASON OF ADVENT

Advent has a twofold nature: It prepares us for Christmas, when we recall Christ’s first coming among us, and it is also a time when we look forward to his second coming at the end of the ages.  Advent is a season of joyful expectation.  During Advent, each Sunday’s gospel has a specific focus.  The Old Testament readings, especially those taken from Isaiah, are prophecies about the Messiah and messianic times.  The selections from the writings of the apostles present exhortations and instructions on different themes of the season.

Baking can be brought to the church Friday night from 7 – 9 pm or after 12 noon on Saturday.

Please join us on Dec. 6th and purchase some home made Christmas baking. And best of all, sit down and join your friends for a cup of coffee or tea and a delicious piece of dessert.  What a great way to spend an afternoon with friends!!!

Mass at 7 pm. followed by a short meeting with fellowship, games and "treats" to follow.

Everyone is asked to bring a food item to share - your choice - dainties, cheese ball & crackers, chips and dip, etc.  Also, instead of exchanging Christmas gifts you are asked to donate ($5 minimum) to our "living angel crusade" where we will all "adopt" an angel and have the opportunity to pray for an unborn child.  All proceeds will go to the purchasing a larger item for the Pregnancy Crisis Centre.  All ladies of the parish are invited to join us in this evening of fun and fellowship.  See you on Wednesday!!!!
