Itinerary

Basic Facts:














 

Day 1: Saturday March 13th
Depart Cork for London and onward flight with Malaysia Airlines to Ho Chi Minh city via Kuala Lumpur.

Day 2: Sunday March 14th
Arrive Ho Chi Minh city. Transfer to the four star Hotel Rex for two nights. Evening dinner with traditional music and dance at the hotel.

Day 3: Monday March 15th
Morning drive through typical southern Vietnamese countryside to Tay Ninh. Visit the incredible Cao Dai Great Temple. After lunch at a local restaurant , we visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the Vietnam war.

Day 4: Tuesday March 16th
Drive to Cai Be (100km) Board a private boat to cruise on the Mekong Delta visiting Cai Be floating market. For lunch sample the local delicacy, the "Elephant's Ear Fish" on the Binh Hao Phuoc islands. After lunch we cruise to Vinh Long to visit a local village. Continue by road to Can Tho. Check in to the four star Victoria Can Tho Hotel for three nights, after checking in take the romantic sunset cruise.

Day 5: Wednesday March 17th
After breakfast take a boat trip on the Mekong River to visit the lively CaiRang floating market. If tide permits cruise in to the Rach Nhong Canal through the orchards. Visit the local fruit market. Lunch at your hotel. Time to relax until 15:30 when we will be taken to  Thot Not (40km) to visit Bang Lang Stork sanctuary. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6: Thursday March 18th
After breakfast drive back to Ho Chi Minh city. On the way have lunch at Ngoc Gia Trang restaurant. Time in Ho Chi Minh  city to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the city's old post office. Cruise with dinner on the Saigon River.

Day 7: Friday March 19th
After breakfast leave Ho Chi Minh city by road for Phan Thiet. (200km scenic drive North) Check in to the four star Phu Hai Resort or Novotel Coralia Ocean Dunes for three nights. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Rest of the ay is free to relax by the pool or on the sandy beach.

Day 8: Saturday March 20th
Day at leisure in Phan Thiet. Lunch and dinner in the hotel.

Day 9: Sunday March 21st
Day at leisure in Phan Thiet. Lunch and dinner in the hotel.

Day 10: Monday March 22nd
After breakfast transfer directly to Ho Chi Minh city airport for return flight to London via Kuala Lumpur.

Day 11: Tuesday March 23rd
Arrive London in the morning and connect with onward flight to Cork.
