For this dear church |
| You know the one i mean |
Is at the hub of us all |
| It s held in the village |
And will suffer dearly |
| Surrounding the green. |
If the Fayre has to fall; |
| Do you go to the church? |
SO COME ON DENHAM - and |
| For your wedding grand or small? |
those far and near |
| Or baptise your infants |
This is a plea |
| In this building strong and tall? |
And must be made clear. |
| Well read on my friend- FOR |
We have a heritage |
| DENHAM NEEDS YOU- |
Which we need to preserve - |
| For the one day in May |
For our children's children |
| Or just an hour or two. |
And we must not swerve. |
| It's a day full of fun, |
Don't leave to your neighbour |
| For the young many thrills, |
The help YOU COULD GIVE, |
| the older ones love helping |
If YOU help a little |
| With their many varied skills. |
