The game of Dice

Place 5 hose rolls in a large field representing 5 on a die and show layout to firefighters.

Everyone wears full scba's but have the face shields blackened out.

On hands and knees have them start crawling from one corner roll to next till they come to next roll.

The goal is to go all the way around the outside rolls till they come to 3rd roll then go to center roll before they run out of air.

Have a spotter follow and if crawler gets off course let them but make sure they do not run into danger. Wait till they have traveled at least twice the distance required to find the next roll in what ever direction they choose to go.

At that time stop crawler and have them look at how far they went. It’s imperative that all observing members be quiet and not ridicule the crawler. Remember this is an excercise, also you may give them what ever tool they would like i.e.: axe, pike pole to aid in there search for the rolls.
