HIGHLIGHTS:
This time around Mike
showed up 15 minutes earlier and everybody sensed
right away that something is cooking. Well, it
turned out to be an almost perfect game for Mike
and the Hammerheads who shut down the Usual
Suspects for all but the last minute of the game.
The shutout was spoiled with only 54 seconds left.
The Hammerheads could not find a better response
on such unlucky goal than to score one more of
their own. Brent Jenkins completed his first hat
trick as the Hammerhead with only 4 seconds left.
Noticeable streaks:
- Mike Chicas:
7th win in a row, undefeated in 11 games (9-0-2).
- Ken Anstey:
22 points (9+13) in 6 games.
- Brent
Jenkins: 16 points (8+8) in 5 games.
- Craig
Wallace: 14 points (7+7) in 6 games.
- Artem
Mishin's 13 points scoring streak
stopped at 6 games.
- Rich
and Jeff Brezovec missed this
game and that left only 3 people who played every
game this season so far. They are Chris
Juwono, Ryan Limaye,
and Roman Gendler. In addition
to that, Jeff's streak of
consecutive games (which started in summer 2001)
stopped at 27, and that left Chris
the only player who stepped on the ice in all of
the Hammerheads 28 games played in summer 2001
and winter 2001-2002 seasons. Congratulations, Chris!
