Game
Recap |
     Game 3 of the
Hammerheads vs. the Usual Suspects saw the return
of defensewoman Stacey Doljack
and left wing Miki Borsody to
the lineup of the Hammerheads for the regular
season.
     In less than two
minutes into the first period, Rich
Brezovec of the Hammerheads scored the
first goal of the game (assisted by Ryan
Limaye), but it was their last goal
before a long dry scoring streak, which wasn't
finally broken until the third period.
     And what a third
period it was! The Hammerheads dominated the
Usual Suspects with well-timed passing and old-fashioned
hard work, firing 5 goals in a row and taking a 6:5
lead with 4 minutes to go. During this span of
goals, Craig Wallace playing his
first career game for the Hammerheads had a hat
trick. However, the lead didn't last for long and
3 more goals from the Usual Suspects sneaked in
past Hammerheads' backup goalie.
     Naturally having the
regular goalie, Mike Chicas, out
affected their overall game, but the Hammerheads
proved they can rally when they are down. The
other teams of the D division should be shaking
in their skates.
