Recap |
The Hammerheads faced
off with the Crimson Death for the second time
this season and helped define just why the death
is bleeding red.
First period opened
up with Miki Borsody scoring the
first goal, assisted by Ken Anstey.
Ken followed that assist up with his own
unassisted goal less than a minute later. Even
the Hammerheads goalie, Mike Chicas,
got an assist along with Ralph Pursifull
on the third goal of the first period scored by Ryan
Limaye. Patrick Chang
concluded the first period's scoring round with
the last goal, assisted by Ken and Miki. This
gave the Hammerheads a commanding 4-0 lead
against the Crimson Death.
Second period was
nothing special to celebrate, seeing only one
goal against the Hammerheads and no goals for.
After wearing the
Crimson Death goalie out all game with numerous
shots on goal, the third period was time for
racking up the points. Ryan turned out two
unassisted goals, widening the lead. Miki arrived
on the scene with two more goals completing his
hat trick during a brief intermission in
goaltending by the Crimson Death goalie, leaving
the Hammerheads with three goals scored in one
minute. One was assisted by Rich Brezovec
and Craig Wallace and the other
by Craig yet again. By scoring two goals in 11
seconds Miki has established a new club record
for the fastest two goals scored by the same
player.
That wasn't all
though as Ryan and Patrick assisted Roman
Gendler with the fifth goal in the
period. With the score now at 9 - 1 and the
Hammerheads in the lead, the Crimson Death gave
it their all for one last goal before Ryan dealt
the final deathblow with his 4th goal of the game
helped by Chris Juwono and
Patrick.
