It was the first time
this season the Hammerheads faced the Plague.
Indeed, the Plague didn't seem to quite know what
to make of the Hammerheads as Ryan Limaye,
assisted by Roman Gendler,
pounded the first goal into the net in less than
a minute into the start of the game.
After testing the
shark-infested waters, the Plague battened down
the hatches to let only two more Hammerheads
goals through during the first period. Miki
Borsody, with assist from Ralph
Pursifull, busted through this defense,
followed by Ryan again with help this time from Chris
Juwono.
The Plague's hopes
rose after scoring one goal against the
Hammerhead's backup goalie in the last 5 minutes
of the first period. That goal, however, was to
be their last as Mike Chicas,
the regular goalie, found the cure for the Plague
and shut the door on them for the rest of the
game. It was a breeze on the ocean for the
Hammerheads after that.
The second period saw
only one goal popped in the diseased net by Ryan
with assistance from Patrick Chang,
followed by another Limaye's goal in the third
period assisted by Chris and Ralph. It was the
second game in a row in which Ryan scored 4 goals.
