Lil watching that bird...

Lil feeling her enthusiasm...
|
"Lil" is
the result of 18 years of linebreeding. Her lines go back to our
first Springer, "Keluke's Wild Rose". Rosie was the granddaughter
of 3 National Champions…. 2XNFC Wind Riding Streak, NFC Burcliff's
Brandi, and CNFC Sherwood's Ace In The Hole. Her sire is our old
"Beeter" dog (Stonebroke's King Keluke) and her mother is "Stonebrokes
Bluff Creek Tess". "Tess" was the second pick out of the top litter
in the country in 1997 (NFC Denalisuflo's Ring and NAFC Kane's Bluff
Creek Annie). Lil is a pup we kept out of Beeter and Tess's last
litter (both are now retired).
Lil is a very agile, athletic dog. She is a very wiry 35 pounds.
Lil is white and liver in color. An example of her athleticism is
her jumping ability….she can easily clear the top of a barbwire
fence, as the picture shows. She has been an extremely easy dog
to train…..very biddable. Her retrieve is solid, she loves the
water, and like our other dogs she's bird crazy. The fall of
2005 was her first year in the field and we were very pleased
with her fieldwork. She's an easy handling dog and has incredible
stamina. She's just a hard hunting, quality gundog in all respects.
Lil's Pennhip evaluation placed her in the 80th percentile for
the breed (excellent hips). She is also CERF certified.
Temperamentwise, she is also like our other Springers.
She is very gentle and loving. She just eats up attention
and loves training sessions.
