Nordais's Canadian Mist
(Call name "Tiki")
We purchased Tiki from Mario Beauregard in Quebec, Canada
(Nordais Chesapeake Bay Retrievers). She is the result of a frozen
semen breeding with CH Clipper's Frozen Assets and Nordais Distagon's
Douce WCX MH.
The best way to describe Tiki is "Solid". She has no "holes", as
they say. She's a very solid retriever, nice mouth, great
temperament, trained up easily, etc. I would consider her average
as an upland flushing dog. She does an adequate job, but her
strongpoint would definitely be as a nonslip retriever in a duck
or goose blind. She's my strongest swimmer… None of my other
dogs can outswim her (not even Turk!).
Physically Tiki is medium to medium dark brown in color. Her
coat quality is excellent. She weighs approximately 80 pounds.
She is CERF and OFA certified (OFA Good). She's very nicely
proportioned and would do very well in the Show ring if given
the opportunity.
Like all 3 of my Chessies, Tiki is an extremely gentle dog.
She absolutely has to be with me. She follows me wherever I go.
I call her my shadow. She's one of those dogs that even if she
didn't hunt a lick you couldn't help but like her. She's just a
very friendly, personable dog in all respects.
