With the help of one of the greatest team defensive performances in the history of the game, Barry lead the Raiders to a shut-out win over the Rhinos by rushing for 152 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns in Mud Bowl VII.
9.) Paul Woroniak –
Rishel’s Raiders – Mud Bowl XII
After several games of being under appreciated by the voters, “Shotgun” received his due respect when he was finally named Mud Bowl MVP by rushing for 71 yards and scoring 3 touchdowns.
8.) Ryan Argue –
Rishel’s Raiders – Mud Bowl XI
Argue recorded his second MVP award by recording 8 solo tackles and 2 interceptions. Mid-way through the first quarter, Ryan picked off a pass from Gorillas’ QB Paul Osborne and returned it for a record 75 yard touchdown.
7.) Ryan Argue –
Rhinos – Mud Bowl VI
In his teams first ever appearance in Mud Bowl, Ryan lead his team by completing 8-16 passes for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also rushed for 51 yards and recorded another toudhdown on the ground as the Rhinos blew out the favored Raiders 40-14.
6.) Scott Lenz –
Brethren White – Mud Bowl III
As a Mud Bowl rookie, Scott performed like a seasoned veteran in Mud Bowl III, as he rushed 112 yards, received another 68 yards, and scored a total of 4 touchdowns as his team won big, 40-20.
5.) Andrew Cochran –
Marilla Gorillas – Mud Bowl X
Andrew’s first break-away speed was simply too much for the Outlaws to handle in Mud Bowl X.
His first carry from scrimmage went 33 yards for a
touchdown. Only seven carries later, he
had compiled a total of 128 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.
4.) Scott Lenz –
Rishel’s Raiders – Mud Bowl V
Scott’s performance in Mud Bowl V helped pave the way for his induction in to the Hall of Fame. Lenz gained a then record 219 total yards from scrimmage, scoring 3 touchdowns and became the only player in history to record a 100/100 game (119 rushing, 100 receiving.)
3.) Alvin Rischel –
Brethren White – Mud Bowl II
With one of the greatest performances by a quarterback in Mud Bowl history, Rischel lead his team to a lopsided 56-12 vicotry over the Brethren Blue team. Rischel completed 16-26 passes for 219 yards while splitting 4 touchdown passes between 3 different receivers. He also gained 36 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD.
2.) Joel Hein –
Rishel’s Raiders – Mud Bowl XIII
It was difficult not to make Joel’s performance in MB XIII the #1 over-all. After all, he was responsible for three-quarters of the Raiders’ total offense as he gained 264 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 carries. In addition, he intercepted a pass from Outlaws’ QB Chris Kempf in the closing seconds of the game as the Outlaws were going in for the tying score.
1.) Kris Maddox
– Brethren White – Mud Bowl XVIII
Kris was the all-around threat in Mud Bowl XVIII for his team, as he rushed for 83 yards and 2 touchdowns, received for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns, and returned a kickoff 88 yards for a record-breaking touchdown. His 236 total yards of offense and five total touchdowns are by far the greatest stats ever posted by a Mud Bowl M.V.P.
