SIB Audio: Gilbert's Party
Back
The night of January 19th, 2002, saw a party at Gilbert's place to celebrate his and Eric's 18th birthday. Thanks to Chris and his tape recorder, you will find here a varity of sound clips from the night! They are ordered here chronologically, so you can see how we all get more into the mood as the night goes on...
To start of with, Wade and Bonnie both say something for Stop It Boys
(344 Kb, 58 seconds)
Jason arrives and talks about his car troubles
(192 Kb, 30 seconds)
Chris sits by himself
(168 Kb, 28 seconds)
Daniel has something to eat
(112 Kb, 18 seconds)
Gilbert and Eric make a speech
(532 Kb, 1 min 30 sec)
Then the guitar makes an entry:
The last half of Denis Leary's Asshole
(742 Kb, 2 min 06 sec)
Gilbert sings Sweet Home Alabama
(1.22 Mb, 3 min 33 sec)
Kevin Bloody Wilson's It Was Over
(756 Kb, 2 min 08 sec)
It was around this time that we stopped for a special guest. For those who were there - too bad tape recorders don't record images, hey??
Listen hard to this one. In the background you can hear Eric
gurgling his drink. Which wasn't a very good idea, because he choked on it
(290 Kb, 49 seconds)
Harrison and Micki argue about McDonalds
(282 Kb, 47 seconds)
Hot topic. A second argument on McDonalds
(330 Kb, 56 seconds)
Now everyone gets involved for yet another McDonalds
argument!
(428 Kb, 1 min 12 sec)
Wade has to say it to the mic!
(324 Kb, 55 seconds)
And to finish off, a very special sound clip that you all should enjoy.
Throughout the night, we all drank, especially Eric. With drinking comes some
pretty drunken comments, and I have compiled a whole heap of Eric's drunken comments into
the one MP3. Here it is - Eric's Mix.
(1.42 Mb, 2 min 29 sec)
Of course, we couldn't fit the whole tape on Stop It Boys - if you want to listen to it all (heaps more songs, heaps more drunken talk and even more arguments about fast food!) I have put it onto two CDs for archival purposes. If you ask nicely, maybe you can get yourself a copy...
