SIB Banners
Back

During the early hours of July 16, 2002, Chris, Daniel and Justin embarked on a Stop It Boys promotional activity where two SIB banners were attatched to the Victoria Street overpass.

To start off, Chris and Daniel made use of Kirsten's house to draw up the banners.  Later on that night we stopped by at Justin's to take some pre-attatchment photos:

It took around 20 minutes to put them up.  They're a bit hard to see in the photos because it was night time, but they actually stood out like dogs balls when driving up with the headlights shining directly on them.

These are pics of the big one:

You can just see the small one on the other side:

By next afternoon the big banner was starting to fall off, however the smaller one was still intact.  It was a week before they were both taken away so we got a pretty good run of free publicity.  Next time we're doing it with something a little more reliable that butchers paper!

Brendan and Sally were also in attendance that night, watching from the car.  We caught up with Daimon that night as well, but he was too drunk to realise what was going on so he didn't end up coming.
