First and foremost, this IS a child! No if, ands, or buts. This BABY has a beating heart, it breaths, and needs nourishment to stay alive; much like you and I. It is not a mass, lump, or anything else it is called. It is called a HUMAN BEING!
IT IS THE WOMAN'S BODY, she should be allowed to do with it what she
wants.
This is a very narrow minded excuse! There really insn't much you can back this one up with... I mean come
on, if we ALL had the RIGHT to do what we wanted to our bodies, then drugs wouldn’t
be illegal would they? I mean they are going into our bodies! Why shouldn’t I be allowed
to do drugs? Its my body...RIGHT? Why can’t I try and commit suicide without being put
into a mental hospital? It’s my body, If I want to slash my wrists or suffocate myself, or
send my body barreling down a cliff or off a bridge, its my right because its my
body....RIGHT? I mean isn’t that what the pro choicer’s are saying? Prostitution, why
isn’t it legal? I mean it is my body, why cant I have sex with whomever I want, and be
paid for it? The man is willing with his body, WHY isn’t prostitution legal? It's my right to
have sex for money, it's my body....RIGHT? Even something as simple as wearing a seat belt... oh my, they are telling us to strap OUR BODIES into a vehicle, even though I DON'T WANT TO! Oh well. Come on, stop grasping for
straws. Certain laws are made for our protection, these are just a few, and God willing,
Abortion will be one soon.
My comments made in this paragraph are to make a point. I in
no way condone drugs, suicide, or prostitution.
IT IS JUST A MASS OF CELLS. It isn’t alive yet.
I do believe that
hair is cells, and trees have cells. Why do some women have a crying fit and need a tissue
when they cut their hair (that grows back), yet they can kill their child and think nothing
of it. Why is the world fighting for the safety of the rainforest. The baby at 10 weeks has
a heartbeat. In my book (and may I add in Gods book) that makes this child alive. If she
weren’t alive, she wouldn’t grow, need nourishment, kick you when she is moving, or
finally come into this world and bring joy and happiness. I mean a rock is not alive, and it
doesn’t do any of these things. A rock doesn’t grow, or need nourishment, or have a
heartbeat. A rock doesn’t feel the pain of being brutally torn apart, having your head
ripped off, your heart breaking or sucked out of a nice warm cozy place. BUT, I have never seen a woman give birth to a rock. If this child that
is ALIVE from the point of conception isn’t alive, then neither is the mother carrying it.
I have yet to see a dead woman get pregnant, and carry a child to term.
IT IS A WOMAN'S CHOICE.
Here is the woman’s choice. “Do you have a condom?” ,“No I am not ready to become a
parent, therefor I am not ready to have a sexual relationship.” That is a responsible
choice. People do things without thinking of the consequences, but they still have to pay. If a man killsanother man, he has to pay for that crime.
Why can women kill innocent children over and over again, for their carelessness? When
a woman is in this position, she has already shown that she cant make responsible
choices when it comes to her body (She's had unprotected sex). Why do they entrust her with this choice?
WHAT ABOUT
RAPE??
I will start by
saying, I don’t think abortion is the answer. But there are alot of things I have never had
to face, in order to make those decisions. I think rape is a horrible thing. I could not
imagine going through such a devastating and traumatic time in my life. I was date raped,
it was hard enough. I was young and scared, so at the time I stayed with the fellow, so not
to tell my parents. It was only a few years ago, I was able to come to grippes about what
happened. Although I think, for me, this was alot easier to face and get over, than being
raped by some stranger that you never met or seen before in your life. After you get over
the shock of what took place you have a whole new set of fears...AIDS, STD’S, whether
they will find him, or whether he will find you first. Then there are the insecure feelings,
the feelings of fear, being ashamed, blame. I will say, if you have never gone through it
then you have no clue all the feelings that take place.
To be told that you are pregnant by the man who raped you must be as scary as being
raped for alot of women. Especially if that woman would never have considered abortion
before. I mean to bring a child into this world from such a horrific nightmare, and have to
remember that night whenever you look at your child, and have to tell your child who his
daddy is, has got to be hard in itself. So people are faced with abortion. You have the
anti-abortion activists on one hand, and your own fears and family on the other.
This innocent child has come form a tramatic crime. It is an even bigger crime to kill this child because of the circumstance. This child is looked upon with fear, hate, and indecision. A woman is not thinking clearly after something so horrible has happened to her. If she aborts, she may be guilt ridden and feel even more horrible. She needs time to think.
Out of this horrible situation, God has brought forth the gift of life! Something that proves something good can come from something evil. It was not this child's fault what happened, so why punish this child after the mother has gone through so much punishment. If you feel you cannot look at the child once born, there is always adoption! Think of what that man has robbed from this woman, and out of that, think of what gift she can give this child! It isn't only part of the man who rapped her, but this child, this baby is part of the mother carrying this child!
WHAT ABOUT MEDICAL
EMERGENCIES??
FIRST of all, abortion has NEVER been illegal for medical emergencies! Second of all, this is totally different from ELECTIVE abortions! That being said, I don't think I need to go any further. This is just an excuse anti-lifers say to make their case look more appealing! Another play on words, so to speak! Making abortion illegal, would never jepordize a medical condition. (However, over 80% of "medically necessary" abortions, aren't - when I find out where I got his statistic from, I will post it.)
WHY NOT BOMB ABORTION
CLINICS?
Either you are for murder and violence, or your not.
When you bomb a clinic, you are no better than the women, and doctors, who
MEANINGLESSLY murder our unborn children. What about that one mother in there,
who has decided that she made the wrong choice, she doesn’t want to have an abortion.
As she is leaving, she is blown up and the child, who was going to have a chance to live,
now doesn’t. What about the friend who has children at home, that came to tell her friend
not to do it, that she will help, gets blown up as she is rushing in to save her friend from
making this mistake. What about the innocent Police Officer, that was killed outside of
the Alabama Abortion clinic. These are all needless deaths, that shouldn’t occur. Fight
with protests, fight with love. Write congressmen, Ban anything that shows support to the
needless abortions, sign petitions, pass facts around, walk into the office and offer a
woman love and understanding and a safe place and financial support for her child. Tell
her she has help. Pray, ask for Gods help.. There are so many constructive ways we can
fight, WITHOUT FALLING TO THEIR LEVEL..We have to be better than them, or we
are just as bad.
There is NO *Excuse* for this!
