Chapter Eight
Teresa: I woke up to the sound of a shower running. As I stretched myself awake I realized I was laying on a couch. It only took me a few minutes to piece together what had happened. I remembered coming in last night, to Scott's flat. We had snogged for quite a while...I remember talking about everything you could think of. Then i got sleepy...and here I am. I noticed a cover on top of me and reckoned Scott has put it there. Just then I noticed the clock. 9 am. "Shit!" I said aloud. "I gotta be at the studio in an hour!" I dashed into the kitchen and searched for a pad of paper. "Men. They never were smart enough to keep the basics available!" After a few minutes of relentless searching I grabbed a napkin and a pen and wrote "Scott- I went home to shower and get ready. I'll see you at the studio, k? - Teresa. PS- Thanks for the blanket" I added a little smiley face and grabbed my keys to leave.

Abs: "You're sure you can do this, so soon?" I asked, concerned. Whitney pressed her lips together and nodded. I sighed, "Alright. Do you want me to wait in the car or-"
"No!" she said with a note of worry in her voice. She cleared her throat and said, "I mean, could you please come? I just...I don't want to go alone"
"Of course" I said understandingly. I opened up my car door and walked around to open Whitney's. I took her hand as we made our way up to the building. Once we had made it to the door we were looking for we both stared at it. Looking down at how linked hands, we simotaneously dropped them before she raised her hand to make a few soft raps on the door.

Scott: When I came into the living room after my shower I expected to see Teresa still on my couch. I was obviously mistaken because it was empty. I found her napkin note on the table and was reading it when I heard a knock on the door. "yeah yeah, come in" i mumbled, not paying attention. I heard the door open and I saw Abs. "Oh. It's you." I said uncertainly. "Hey" He nodded a hello and looked towards the door, I looked too wondering what was out there. My questions was soon answered as Whitney stepped in. I froze, not believing my eyes.
Was it really her? The girl I'd loved for so long and the girl that ran away? "Erm..Hi Scott" was all she said. I brought my hand nervously to my wet hair, ready to push it away and found I was still clutching the napkin-note. I quickly shoved it into my pocket. "Whitney..." I breathed. She stood, saying nothing, looking towards the ground. "You're back....but, how?"
"He found me" she said motioning with her head to Abs standing next to her.
"Oh" was all I managed to say.

Whitney: A million things went through my mind.
Does he hate me? What's he thinking? Is he actually nervous? What should I say? Should I just leave?
Was I right to think I belonged more at that Truck Stop Diner?
