Chapter Three
Nikki: I sat across from Abs in the booth inside the restaraunt. I flipped through the menu. Where was Whitney? I wondered. I was anxious to see her and her date. "What are you getting?" Abs asked, shaking me out of my daze of thought. I looked up at him.
"Um, I dunno," I said, quickly scanning the menu.
"Ah, well I guess its better to wait 'til they get here, eh?" Abs said, putting his menu down and casping his hands. I smiled and nodded.

Whitney : The drive to the restaraunt was a bit...awkward. Here were two complete strangers thrown together to go on a date and see if they get along. Blind dates were meaningless in my eyes. We sat in awkward silence, Ritchie and I. "So," he said, glancing over at me. I looked over at him, waiting for something else. When nothing came...I laughed and looked straight ahead again. "What?" Ritchie asked, smiling.
"This is dumb," I told him. "I mean, what's the point of blind dates anyways? They just throw you with someone you don't know, then let you go. What is being achieved out of that?" Ritchie laughed a little.
"I know," he replied. We turned into the parking lot of the restaraunt. He turned off the engine and looked over at me. "Ready?" he asked. I nodded.

Ritchie : Whew. I'm glad she could break the awkwardness that was going on between us. I just hoped Abs was as lucky as I was. If he wasn't, I'd just laugh and bug him about it later. Nah, I'd be nice to him. I opened the door for Whitney and she headed in after me. We searched around for Abs and his date and soon after, found them. His date was very cute. I took a deep breath as I sid in the booth next to Abs and Whitney sat next to the other girl, Nikki. I picked up my menu and looked over at Nikki. She whispered something to Whitney and Whitney smiled and nodded. Sure Whitney was cute and nice and all, but something about Nikki...I don't know, just drew me to her. She glanced up at me and I quickly looked down at my menu. This was going to be a long date.
