| Chapter Eight I was walking out of the hotel room, extremely angry, when I almost ran into Dawn. "Whitney, hey," she said, stopping. "I was just coming up to see you." I just stood there, looking at the carpet trying not to cry. "What's wrong?" she asked, putting her hand on my shoulder. I looked back up at her. "Abs and I have been in this fight for the past 3 or 4 days." I explained as we started walking down the hall. "It all started when that Jimmy guy hit on me at the pool. Something came up and I...I might be going back to America." "What?!" Dawn exclaimed, stopping. "What do you mean, 'something came up'?" "I can't talk about it Dawn. Its just a decision I have to make in the next week." I told her. "Well, what are you thinking of doing?" she asked. I shrugged a bit. We reached the lobby and sat in two of the chairs next to each other. "I don't want to leave you, Dawn," I said as I sat down. "But...really, the only reason I came back to London was because of Abs. Now it seems like he doesn't even want me here. Like he doesn't trust me anymore." "Sounds to me you're going to be home bound once again," Dawn sadly commented. I reached over and hugged her. "Whatever my decision, I'm always going to be here for you. We'll never not be friends. I hope you know that," I said once we let go. She nodded and looked down. ~*~*~*~*~ Three more days passed and Abs and I were still avoiding once another. I had slept in Dawn ad Scott's room a couple of times. I called home once and told my mom I had an important decison to make. We talked about it and she wants me home, but wants me to decide what would be best for me to do...stay or go home. At this point in time, all I wanted was for someone to come up to me and tell me what to do. The next day I walked up to the hotel room Abs and I were supposed to be sharing. I unlocked the door and walked in, to find it empty. I sighed, wishing for some reason that he was there. I pulled out a pad of paper and pen from the side drawer, and, with shaky hands, began to write. Abs, This past week has been hell for me. You know the important decision that is on my mind. After many hours of restless thought I came to the conclusion that you are the only thing keeping me here in London. You are the only one who can keep me here. I'm here with Dawn, but not for Dawn. I'm here for you. You are the one I unconditionally love. Because of that, I am going to see Simon today. I'm going home...unless you can find it inside yoursef to trust me enough to make me stay. Its in your hands now. I'm sorry if this is too much pressure for you. If I end up going home, just remember this...just like you once told me...I love you now more than anything and everything in my life before. All my truthful love, Whitney I set the pen down and wiped a tear that was gliding down my cheek. I sniffled and set the pad of paper on Abs' pillow. Chapter Nine... |
