Chapter Six

Abs: I wrapped the comforter around my...body...and made my way to the closet. I flung it open. All I saw was tight hipster jeans in various colors, baby tees, and tons and tons of shoes. "Uhm, Skye?" I timidly asked, turning to her. "Do I have anything...um, baggier then this?" I asked, holding out a pair of black jeans.
"On you?" she gave me a look I couldn't read. Ugh. Girls. "I don't think so. Did you have too much to drink last night or something?" I shook my head.
"Listen, I can't go to Uni with you today I have something I have to take care of," I told her.
   "Nikki!" she exclaimed. "You promised."
"Dude, chill," I said, motioning with my free hand. "I'm sure Whitney or Teresa can take you sometime or something." Her mouth dropped a bit.
"Fine, Nikki," she stormed out of the room. I sighed. What in the world is going on? The phone rang and broke me from my thoughts. I walked toward the disgustingly pink thing and picked it up.
   "Hello?" I asked.
"Abs, you are in big trouble," a voice that sounded like...me..hissed.
"Nikki! What the hell did you do?" I exclaimed.
"This is not my fault, Abidin!" she harshly whispered. "Listen, we're going to the mall. If you want to live and be able to have children, meet us there in an hour." I gulped as she slammed down the phone. I guess I had better get dressed.

Nikki: I dressed in the clothes that I could find that were thinking of actually fitting. A t-shirt and khaki cargo pants. "You alright, Abs?" Whitney asked, coming up to me as we entered the mall.
"What? Oh, yeah," I said. I was so distracted about what had happened, this was unreal. I knew it was a dream, it had to be. But everything felt so...real.
We walked to the food court and I scanned the crowd for someone who looked like me. I almost laughed when I spotted him. He was wearing a pair of my khaki hipsters and a huge sweatshirt I only wear in the wintertime. "Um, me and A- I mean, Nikki have to talk," I said as he approached us. Whitney gave me a weird look.
"Okay...I'm going to do some shopping," she informed the other guys.
   "I'm starved," J said.
   "Me too," replied Ritchie.
"Alright, so we'll meet back here in like, an hour?" Whitney suggested. We all nodded and headed our seperate ways. Abs and I had a lot to talk about..

J: 45 minutes or so later, Ritchie and I were just sitting at a table sipping on our almost empty cups. Abs and Nikki were nowhere to be seen. Maybe they finally gave in to their desire for each other and took this time to sneak off and snog. I almost laughed out loud at that thought.
"J...isn't that Whitney?" Ritchie interrupted my thoughts.
   "Where?" I asked.
"Over there," Ritchie pointed to the front of a store fairly close to the food court. A guy and a girl were hugging. I squinted my eyes.
"No, man, I don't think so," I said, trying to get a better look.
"No, no I think it is," Ritchie argued. The two people let go and the girl stepped sideways, confirming Ritchie's thought. It was her.

Whitney: "So how have you been?" I asked my old neighbor Jimmy.
"Really good, I have just been really busy, though," he explained. I nodded. Out of the corner or my eye I saw someone walking at a good pace toward us. I turned and saw J. The look in his eyes told me he wasn't too happy.
"Hello," he said as he joined us.
"J..hi," I  said. "J, this is Jimmy, Jimmy, J." Jimmy nodded a bit, contemplating whether or not to stick out his hand.
"I'm her boyfriend," J informed him. I could have just died. I wished the floor would open up and suck me under.
"Well, you're lucky to have her," Jimmy flashed him a smile.
"Yeah, so back off," J said a bit harsh.
"J!" I exclaimed. He looked at me.
   "What?" he asked.
"I'm sorry Jimmy," I apologized to him. I looked at J. "I'm going." With that, I turned and headed out of the mall.
