Chapter Nine

Nikki: "Hi, Nikki?" Ritchie's voice answered.
"Yes, that's me," I smiled to myself. I glanced at my three outfits laid our on the bed waiting for this moment to come.
   "Hey, it's Ritchie," he said.
   "Yeah, I know," I replied.
"Um, listen, I know I said we should do something tonight but something came up," he explained. My heart fell.
   "Oh," I managed. "Oh, okay."
"I'm really sorry Nik, maybe another night?" he offered.
   "Yeah, yeah sure," I responded.
"Hey so I'll see you tomorrow," he said.
   "Yeah, tomorrow,"
   "Bye Nikki."
"Bye." I replied, hanging up. I sighed as I fell back on my bed. Great. My night was ruined now.

Teresa: Time absolutely flew by that night. Scott and I sat in this quaint little coffee shop a few blocks away from my flat. I never knew a guy to be so open and so friendly to me...ever. Sure, I read about it in all those romance books I was addicted to, but I never knew the guys were real. I think I actually found one.
I laughed at something he said as I raised my wamr mug to my mouth and took a sip. I glanced up at the clock sitting behind our table. I almost spilled my coffee as I realized what time it was. It was almost 2 AM and I had to be at the Studio at 6 sharp.
"Scott, I have to get going," I told him, a bit dissapointed.
"Why? Its only like, 10..." he trailed off, looking up at the clock. "Oh," he laughed. I grabbed my jacket and pulled it on. "I'll walk you home," he offered.
"Oh, you really don't have to, I'm only a couple of blocks away and its late, or early rather," I said, standing.
"Naw, it's alright," he waved a dismissive hand. We walked out of the shop together and headed toward my flat. We walked in awkward silence for a bit.
   "So.." I said, breaking it.
"Yeah. Um, good coffee, eh?" he asked, looking over at me. I nodded.
"Yeah I hope I can get to sleep," I laughed a bit. We finally reached our destination and we walked up to the porch together. He stopped and faced me. "Thanks for the coffee." I said.
"My pleasure," he smiled. What a great smile he had.
"Well, I better get in," I said, motioning toward the door. He nodded a bit and I grabbed my keys. As I turned to unlock the door Scott reached for my arm.
"Teresa?" I looked up at him. "Would it be okay if I...kissed you goodnight?"
"Goodmorning, you mean?" I joked. He turned a bit red.
"Either or," he smiled. I just nodded. He leaned down and kissed me quickly on the lips. I smiled when he let go.
"See you in a few hours," I smiled as I turned and walked in the house.

Abs: I felt something wet on my face. What the...? I thought. I opened my eyes to see a bundle of fur in my eyes. I quickly sat up as Sam tumbled off me. I wiped at my face. He was in the process of giving me my morning shower. Wait a second, morning? I was in Whitney's flat. I looked to the other end of the couch. There was Whitney. I rushed into the kitchen and grabbed the digital clock, forcing my eyes to adjust. 5:46AM. Oh god. I had to be there in 14 minutes and Whitney had to be there NOW. I rushed back into the living room and shook her gently.
"Whit, Whitney, you gotta get up," I woke her. Her eyes fluttered open.
"Dom?" she yawned, squeezing her eyes shut.
"Not exactly," I replied. She opened her eyes all together.
"Abs! What are you doing here? What time is it?" she exclaimed, jumping up.
"I dunno but I have to go, we'll talk about this later, okay?" I made my way to the door as I opened it. "Bye!" I shut it behind me. I shook my head as I headed down the hallway. If anyone, especially Dom found out about this, I was going to lose my neck.
