| Epilogue *One Year Later* Whitney: I stood behind the large wooden doors, my stomach in complete knots. "How you holdin up?" Nikki asked, coming to my side. "Horrible," I said, looking over at her. "I am sooo nervous. Nikki, how did you ever get through this?" "As if you don't remember?" Nikki laughed a bit. "I had to be practically shoved down the aisle. But I got through it Its just cold feet." I nodded. "You are going to do this and get it over with and everything it going to be fine. You love J. You're walking down this aisle and getting married to him." She started to tears up. "I never thought I'd see the day, my best friend in the world, preactically my baby sister, getting married to my husband's best friend." A tear slid down her facr and she quickly wiped it away. I felt tears spring to my eyes too. "Nikki! Look at what you did!" I laughed. She hugged me and I hugged her back. We let go sniffling and dabbing at our eyes. "Where's Bella?" "Out there with Gram," she smiled. One of the pastors walked up to us. "It's time to begin," he told us. We nodded and took our places in line. Nikki and Abs first, Sean and Suzanne, Ritchie and a mutual friend Teresa, and me and Scott. "Are you sure you want to do this?" I asked Scott, taking his arm. He nodded. "I figure, if you aren't able to have a dad walk you down, why not a best friend?" he told me. I smiled. "That means more than you could ever know, Scott," I told him. I heard the music start and a feeling of nervousness rushed through my body again. I couldn't wait to get out there and see J. Nikki and Abs started down, and Scott and I inched forward step by step. Finally, it was our turn. The bridal music started up and I put on a huge smile. J: I heard the music start up and I shifted my weight to my other side. Having my best friends in a line next to me helped, but I was anervous wreck. I wanted to jump up to see her, but that would just mess everything up. I saw her about halfway down the aisle and it took my breath away. Her white dress was beautiful, as was she. She walked arm in arm with Scott. I had a hard time with that decison at first, but all I could think was, she's walking down for me, not him. She reached me and I smiled at her. I walked down the few steps and she released Scott and took my arm. She mouthed 'I love you' to me and all I could do was smile. We walked up the steps together, stopped, and faced each other. The pastor joined us in front of where we stood. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today in joining of tow souls deeply in love." The cermony began. After about a half hour of talking, speaking vows, exchanging rings, we were nearly done. "J," the pastor turned to me. "Do you promise to honor, cherish, and love Whitney all the days of your life?" I looked at her, into her hazel eyes. I thought back on everything that we had been through, all the good times, the bad, everything. "I do," I spoke. She smiled and looked over to the pastor. "Whitney, do you promise to honor, cherish and love J all the days of your life?" he asked her. She looked back up at me. "I do," she said. "According to the powers vested in me, I am proud to announce you husband and wife." I looked at him as he paused. "You may kiss your bride," he smiled. I looked at her, lifted her vail, and kissed her, long and soft. When we let go the whole church erupted in applause. I hugged her again. "I love you, Mrs. Jason Brown," I whispered in her ear.
