It started as a civil rights movement against internment.It was mostly non'violent,although some carriedweapons while others just threw rocks.
The British government then sent some paratroopers in to "restore peace".they blocked the route of the march,so,the protestors took a detour.The paratroopers met them there.
the paratroopers then fired "live" ammo at the "raging' crowd.Thirteen innocent civilians were killed along with another injured thirteen.All victims were proved to have not been holding even a rock at the time the wound was inflicted.
The times leading up to the deadly march have been nicknamed the "troubles".
