EXPENDITURE RECORD LOG

NAVSUP P-485, CH 5 Material Expenditure and Shipment


The expenditure record log is used to control expenditure document number assignments and to provide a record of all expenditures. The expenditure record log is divided into two segments as follows:

EXPENDITURES, EXCEPT FOR DLR ITEMS. This section will be maintained for recording all transfers, cash sales and surveys. The serial numbers will run consecutively throughout the fiscal year. The following information will be recorded in the log for each expenditure:
a. Expenditure document number
b. Department from which expended
c. Shipped to
d. Date shipped
e. Material identification
f. Remarks

DLR ITEMS. This section will be maintained for recording all shipments of unserviceable DLR items. Document numbers in this section will duplicate document numbers assigned to the replacement requisitions. The following information will be recorded in this section of the Expenditure Record Log:
a. Expenditure document number
b. Department from which expended
c. DOP or transshipping activity
d. Date shipped
e. Material identification
f. Remarks
