"Get...Off...My...Plane!"
President James Marshall is a tough, no-nonsense, straightforward guy. The kind of guy we wish was in the White House. In a speech given in Moscow, he takes a stand against terrorism. And when a splinter group of Russian terrorists hi-jack Air Force One, his words are thrown back in his face. | ![]() |
The Secret Service men assigned hustle the President to the escape pod, but James Marshall is a combat veteran, a husband, and a father, and he refuses to leave his family behind. He hides on the plane, contacts the vice-president (played by a wonderfully strong Glenn Close) via satellite phone, and proceeds to raise merry hell for the terrorists. | ![]() |
Operator: White House switchboard, how may I address your call? President: (whispering) Right. Listen. Listen very carefully. This is an emergency call from Air Force one. This is the President. Can you connect me to the vice-president please. Operator: (disbelieving) Who did you say is calling? President: This is the President. Operator: Yeah, right. And I'm the first lady. |
