A silent shadow. Quickly in, quickly out. Unseen, unheard by anyone. Only noticed if I want to be known. That's what I am. That's what my skill is.

The past few minutes have been so lame! I had to work on defense systems for the rebel base which was now located in Lost Angles. The only thing that happened was purely coincidental.

I was the only one in the room when the long-range sensors detected something. A portal about to open. I turned some of the defense systems into an invisible containment beam and shot it where the portal was about to open. I was able to drag the portal to the base without it being seen. A small laptop came out of the portal.

I tried to hack into it but before I could, another portal was detected. No time, I can't get another containment beam to charge up that fast.

The worst thing about it was that the second portal opened in Megabyte's Tor. I sighed and worked on hacking into the laptop.

The codes took me less than a nano to crack. I couldn't believe that the message inside was from the Web! The person who wrote this was trapped in the Web and needed me to take down the traps I put up there.

I immediately started working on the defences to convert them into hardware, like the one that I used to set up the traps. I was working so fast that I didn't even get a chance to find out who sent the laptop here. Using the containment beam, I dragged one of the many tears to the base and turned it into a portal to the Web. The hardware shot a beam into the portal and it closed. I can only hope that it worked.

I wanted to find out who sent the laptop here, but it was degrading from its trip through the Web. Oh well, whoever sent the message would be here soon enough. I worked on converting the defenses back to normal when the long range energy sensors found, yet another portal.

I was surprised when my ring glowed. I am seldom surprised by anything because my life was full of danger and I was always alert.

A telepathic message came into my mind. ~I am coming. Be ready for me.~

This has never happened to me before. Yet, I knew exactly who the message came from and how it was sent. I growled softly to myself and slid into the shadows.

***

There she was. She has hardly changed since the last time I saw her. She was holding her whip which was charged to a dull red glow. Her hair was not flaming orange like mine, but she had dimmed it for this occasion. I smiled to myself. I didn't need to dim my hair to remain hidden. Her eyes stared ahead, unblinking, and the pupils were more oval than round.

I recalled that once she told me her eyes transformed like that so she can see things in slow motion. There was no doubt about it. It was her.

She was followed by two sprites, a few binomes, and one figure in the back that I couldn't put a shape to. The sprites and two binomes looked ready to fight while the rest of the binomes huddled together, looking scared.

One of the defense guns detected her and shot out a beam that hit her in the back. Her suit swirled red before it returned to its original forest green. I was shocked. I have seen what happens to her when she is attacked. She becomes hysterical! She turned, hissed with her fangs bared and hit the gun with her whip. The gun exploded and set off the alarm. All her movements were lightning fast and I could barely see her move.

Binomes ran to stop the intruder. With one swipe of her fist, she knocked down three binomes. She lunged at another binome and sank her poisonous fangs into his skin. A binome suddenly yelled and collapsed on the floor. I saw a hint of green slithering away from the fallen binome towards another. That binome collapsed too. It must be one of her snakes, Girl or Boy. Once I saw the two spikes on the snake's head, I knew that it was Girl, because Boy has three spikes.

She suddenly dashed down the corridor leaving the other sprites and binomes to fight. I followed her, grateful that she wasn't running at top speed, otherwise I won't be able to keep up with her.

She ran into the main room of the base. Standing there looking scared and shocked was Dot and some binomes. Hack and Slash, Dot's bodyguards, were nowhere to be seen. I was tired from chasing her but it was up to me to stop her. She bared her fangs and with a hissing-growl, she lunged at Dot. I lunged at her. We collided in midair.

I knocked her against a wall and held her shoulders. She raised a fist to punch at me but stopped when she saw who I am. She blinked once to bring her eyes back to normal and relaxed her fist. I smiled at her and she smiled back.

I turned to the others. "Alright everyone!" I announced. "The crisis is over!"

"What do you mean, Mouse?" Dot asked me. "You know her?"

I noticed that the two other sprites and binomes following her were now in the room. The big green one was looking sadly at Dot. Then I realized who he was. Dot looked back at him, perplexed, refusing to believe who she thought this sprite was.

"Uh¡K Hi...sis¡K" He said uncertainly.

"Enzo?" Dot said. Then she was certain. Dot ran to embrace him."Enzo! Oh Enzo!

I... I thought you were nullified. I thought I'd lost everything."

She was looked disapproving of Dot and Enzo's little reunion. She had always hated emotional scenes.

Then I noticed something from the corner of my eye. Bob just came in! I decided to show him just how much I missed him. Using my talent for spying, I sneaked up behind him and kissed him before he even knew I was there.

"Uhhh¡K .It's nice to see you too, Mouse." Bob said. He didn't expect this to happen. Neither did Dot. I knew I had just made their reunion a little more...awkward.

But the truth was that I didn't really care right now. I was more interested in something else. I turned to look at her. She was frowning at me and I smiled sweetly back at her. Our rings glowed simultaneously.

I received a telepathic message from her.

~Mouse, you kissed him just to annoy me didn't you?~

~Well, that's one of the reasons. How did you know?~

~Pul-leeze!~ She rolled her eyes.~I know you too well, Mouse.~

"Mouse?" Dot asked. "Who is that girl?"

"This," I said. "is Snake." I looked at her. "She's my sister."

"She's your sister?" Bob asked, amazed. "I never knew you had a sister!"

"Well, y'know," I said, "You don't know everything just because you're a

Guardian."

"Yeah, so now you know!" Snake yelled. But only I could understand her because she was talking in her hissing language. She has VERY little tolerance for people who say or do pointless things. "You don't know what I'm saying! So you don't know I'm calling you a freakazoid with demented hair! And also..."

"What did she say?" Bob asked.

"Uhh...You don't want to know." I replied. I clapped my hands over Snake's mouth to stop the flow of hissing insults.

Changing the subject, I said, "Well, now that's Bob's back, what are the plans for attacking the Principal Office?"

I let go of Snake. She was smiling from the very mention of War. That's because she likes killing and survives on blood.

The rebels started making plans for an attack. I went to speak with Snake. We have a lot to catch up on since the second she disappeared...
