Mysteries

There are tons of mysteries in Goldeneye, but no one knows how to solve those mysteries. I for one knows something about some of the mysteries. Therefore representing you this mystery solved page.

Citadel:

You might have seen it on the beginning level called: Dam. It is right across the dam and it is in the mountains in the background. With some help of Gameshark Code (which i will probably put up later), you can actually reach this...'Citadel'.

So what IS Citadel? Citadel is a rough design of an unfinished level that had been taken out before the game is released. Some people said Oddjob and Mayday will be in the level. However, that is not true. Even if the level IS completed, both of them will NOT appear in this Citadel. Rare have never intend to let Oddjob and Mayday appear in the level.

Rare designers have not completely erease the level Citadel. So that means the music (and that is how i got the midi Citadel) or even the actual level might be left behind too. By using a Gameshark Codes, they will open up a level called 'Citadel'. Once you start playing the level, you will see that the level is an empty bunker (similar to the Bunker 1 in the final version of Goldeneye64) with no chairs, doors, desks, computers and guards. The bunker is completely empty. And, if you use the watch, the game will crash.

Now all the stuff that the level 'Citadel' had left, are the music, background, and the word 'Citadel'.

Silo Vents:

Lots of people have wondered, what does the vents do in the level Silo? The actual reason is that it helps Bond to go through the level much more easier. If you look closely, there is a crate covering the opening to what looks like an elevator. However, due to lack of memory and framerate, Rare had taken the elevator out and seal the vents.

Facility 1:

Have you ever wonder why after you played the level Facility and there will be a scitentist running to the washroom all of a sudden? Well, Rare have thuoght of this: if you accidently blew up the computer that lets you access the locked door in Area B, then you can't proceed to the rest of the level. The scientist will help you by carrying a key card that opens up all security doors and levels. Now you knw why.

Facility 2:

You know that above a pipe on the roof of the Facility, there is a chemestry set, right? But do you know what it is for? The answer is this: The set have no purpose. Rare just put it up because they want to add some more detail to the level. Also, there maybe some free space and they want it to be filled up. OR they have too much free time so they want to creat a mystery as a fun thing to do.

Silo:

If you have a good, strong gun, and you are quick on the trigger, you can kill Orumove in the silo. Once you killed him, he left a briefcase and a key card. The briefcase in the beta version of Goldeneye is suppose to have a Goldeneye key to open a door for Bond and it is suppose to be an objective. Somehow before the game is released, due to lack of memory (again) so Rare took it out.

That is all folks, i got a lot more but i will put them up later.
