• Weyrleader: M'tiant - Bronze Raoth - M'tiant is a younger Weyrleader, only in his mid thirties. He is quick, intelligent, and determined. He was one of the first to get his Weyr ready to fight thread effectively and commands an enormous amount of respect from his dragonriders, even those older than him.

• Senior WW: Kedinia - Erilith - Kedinia is in her early forties, and more than a bit of a busy body. If there isn't work for her to do, she will create work, sometimes driving the Headwoman to distraction with her pet projects. She's a whiz at keeping things organized, and knows where everything is in the Weyr.

• WW: Leda - Llnorith - Leda has gone through a lot since arriving at the Weyr very pregnant, having been Searched by A'risom's brown Jaefith during a fight with her former husband. She gave birth to a son, divorced her abusive husband, survived an attack from him at the Weyr and decided against Standing as a Candidate, instead choosing to be an apprentice weaver. Llnorith had different ideas. Leda has recently graduated from weyrling training and now is trying to find her own way of being the best weyrwoman she can be, Leda is a tall woman at 5'11" with a slim build, dark hair, pale skin and warm brown eyes.

• WW: Ciria - Olebeth - The youngest queenrider, Ciria is only 30 Turns old. She's a little unsure of herself as yet, but is gaining confidence in her work as she goes along. Quiet like Aaedia, she tries her best and is great at keeping morale up by being a willing ear to listen to anyone's problems or complaints.

• WW: Aaedia - Thaeweth - Aaedia is in her mid forties, and a warm, vibrant woman. She goes about her duties with a smile and a warm word to all that she meets, and before she retired from her role as Senior Weyrwoman, she was very good at sharing authority with M'tiant. Her ideas are always solid ones, and everyone listens when she presents them.

• Weyrleader: O'ric - Bronze Chearth - O'ric is a man who can keep his emotions in check no matter what the circumstances. He has a quick mind, and only says things when he feels something needs to be said. He is respected and listened to by all in his Weyr.

• Senior WW: Seicia - Agrerith - Seicia is not one to hold her council and is a very pragmatic Weyrwoman. She knows her strengths and weaknesses as well as O'ric's and knows how they best compliment one another. Unlike some others, she knows how to speak her mind without offending and manages to get even the most stubborn to think over what she has said.

• WW: Kilidia - Loilith - Kalidia has been around for slightly over ten Turns as Weywoman Second. Since Seicia is a very together woman, all that is required of Kilidia is to keep things running smoothly in the Weyr's operation and to watch and learn as much as she can from Seicia until she becomes the Senior Weyrwoman.

• WW: Astieri - Cadidith - Astieri's Cadidith is less than ten Turns old, but Astieri is already a very strong leader. She organizes a lot of the Lower Caverns functions and has dedicated herself to maintaining Weyr morale through different activities and events that she plans.

• Weyrleader: E'der - Bronze Loth - E'der is a man who has great skill at organizing and running the Weyr, but no patience with attitudes like Wayria's. As a result, he stays away from the Senior Weyrwoman as much as possible, having learned that nothing is going to change her attitude. He has learned the hard way to work with what is at hand, instead of lamenting over what he should have, and has earned the respect of his Weyr as a result.

• Senior WW: Wayria - Thalidith - This woman prefers to sit back and enjoy the view from her lofty position, leaving most of the work of running the Weyr to her junior Weyrwomen. Always quick with a snide comment, she's very intelligent and always manages to make them seem innocuous so that no one can call her to task for them.

• WW: Teslin - Tymarath - A very studious and reserved young woman, Teslin was temporarily the Senior Weyrwoman at Storm Fires for a short while, although she didn't do a very good job at it and left because she was injured. She still has many of the scars from the incident when her agenothree tank exploded. She has since learned quite a lot on her own, re-training herself once she realized that her training from Wayria was somewhat faulty to begin with. She made sure to take over all of the training of Pawen when the time came. Although she is only the Weyrwoman Second, everyone acknowledges the fact that Teslin is really the one who runs the Weyr.

• WW: Pawen - Etheath - Pawen is a warm, bubbly girl whose temperament off-sets Teslin's more shy mannerisms. She makes sure that Teslin is included in every aspect of the Weyr and has been essential in making sure that Teslin is accepted by the people of the Weyr, as well as helping the Weyrwoman Second to make many friends out of gratitude for her training. Pawen has learned from Teslin's mistakes and is very grateful that Teslin is so open and honest in talking about them.

• Weyrleader: D'lennon - Bronze Makarth D'lennon has been a Wingleader and Wingsecond for many Turns, so he knows what he is doing in his relatively new position. He is respected and supported as the Weyrleader as the old Weyrleader was not. This bronzerider is assertive, courageous, unpretentious, stable, logical, and can even practice patience when need be. It also helps that he and Nilind genuinely like one another.

• Senior WW: Nilind - Yoiveth - Nilind is quite a bit more popular with the Weyr's inhabitants than Heliden ever was. She has a more gentle nature than her predecessor and a natural understanding of how to get things accomplished without offending anyone in the process. Her Yoiveth is around twenty Turns old and produced Yisa's Trayweth, the youngest queen produced at Igen Weyr.

• WW: Nadea - Rialth - This Weyrwoman originally came from Ista but transferred to Storm Fires and became the first woman to Impress a queen at Storm Fires Weyr. In her mid thirties, Nadea stands about 5'8" and lithe with auburn hair and hazel eyes and is accompanied often by a blue flitter named Solari. Her dedication to Pern and her devotion to all the Weyrs makes this Weyrwoman exceptional.

• WW: Yisa - Trayweth - Yisa is in her mid-thirties with a sweet yet determined temperament. She is an invaluable helper to everyone and is always willing to help out wherever she sees a need.

• WW: Heliden - Areadith - Heliden and her Areadith have recently retired as the senior pair. Areadith has not produced a queen in the last 25 Turns, and has finally stopped rising to mate altogether. Heliden is a somewhat bitter woman, and giving up her position to Nilind was a difficult thing for her to do, but she could see the necessity. She rarely stirs herself to anything these days, not even bothering to criticize the new Weyrwoman and the way she runs things.

• Weyrleader: J'kon - Bronze Kedarth - A man in his late-sixties, J'kon has been the Weyrleader for a long while now and intends to keep that position for quite a bit longer yet. He seldom stirs from the Weyr except to go to threadfalls and the occasional gather.

• Senior WW: Seraela - Prinyth - Saraela is slightly older than J'kon in her early seventies, but is still a very active woman. She runs a tight ship ever since Vena and L'nal left, and is rather stiff when anything in connection with the South is mentioned.

• WW: Timma - Lieveth - Timma and Lieveth were just Weyrlings when Vena and L'nal went South, so there are no hard memories there. She treats everyone with respect and kindness and often acts as a go-between for Seraela and the South, acting in place of the Senior Weyrwoman at the Southern Hatchings to keep Ista Weyr represented.

• WW: Sylet - Enlyeth - Sylet has just reached her twenties, with a go-get-em attitude. If she sees a task that has been left undone, she attacks it with gusto, and as a result, Seraela has come to rely on her to get a lot of things accomplished, even if those are tasks that no one else would want to take on.

• WW: Ysara - Sulienth - Ysara has energy to spare and is always busy doing something, but never too busy for friends. She has a no-nonsense attitude, a good sense of humor and does not have an inflated opinion of herself. She is single-minded in the way that she works and how she deals with each situation as it comes to her, whether it has to do with her studies or personally. She tends to be quiet, which makes her seem shy, which she is not. Ysara is not a dainty little girl, rather "strapping" comes to mind, with her height of 5'11" and a strong build with ample curves. She has dark auburn hair that falls in layers of loose curls to her shoulder blades, which frames her intense blue-green eyes and fresh-faced smile.

• Weyrleader: P'rald - Bronze Doekith - A man of reason, P'rald keeps a level head despite Rhari's sometimes stormy attitudes. While he doesn't always see eye to eye with the Senior Weyrwoman, he works very well with her.

• Senior WW: Rhari - Adobeth - A usually mild-mannered woman, this queenrider's fiery temper is one to stay away from. Very set in her attitudes about just how a Weyrwoman should act, she is stiffly disapproving about behavior she does not think proper.

• WW: Mahaila - Nakirth - A quiet woman with a lot of tact, Mahaila is the perfect compliment to someone with a prickly personality, something that works to both Rhari and Adalea's advantage. She is very good at soothing ruffled tempers in an unobtrusive manner. In fact, she is so good at this that neither Rhari nor Adalea are aware that she does it at all.

• WW: Niyenah - Padoth - Niyenah has black hair and dark brown eyes. Her even brown complexion holds well, and she stands at an awe-inspiring height of 5'1". Niyenah is naturally friendly and works to overcome the quiet obedience that was instilled in her as a child. Niyenah can laugh at herself and is strongly empathetic.

• WW: Raynea - Sunnyth

• WW: Yoma - Dunath - An ambitious and energetic girl, Yoma sometimes chafes under Rhari's restrictions on her Queenriders. Despite this she is very useful in settling disputes between riders and the rest of the Weyr staff, and likes knowing that her help has made a difference.

• WW: Adalea - Rissianth - This woman is very bossy and easy to dislike. Her ideas of the proper behavior for a Weyrwoman make her very stuck up, making her the friend of no one unless they are a bronzerider and equally arrogant. She can get the job done, but she has very little tact in dealing with people and makes more enemies than friends. The Weyr is secretly very happy that Adalea will never be the Senior Weyrwoman, for her Rissianth was badly scored and can no longer fly very well, producing small clutches and barring her from the Senior position since they can no longer fly threadfall.

• Weyrleader: D'rol - Bronze Toriboth, Non-Playable NPC - Quiet and confident D'rol has an active sense of humor and is quick to act upon it, not hesitating to make himself the butt of a joke or anyone else for that matter. D'rol forms close friendships with few people but that does not prevent him from caring about most people and coming to aid those whom he feels needs his assistance. D'rol is extremely professional when it comes to his duties as a dragonrider. Standing at 5'6" with the body of an acrobat, he has curly coal black hair which he keeps trimmed, deep blue eyes and striking features.

• Senior WW: Terressa - Tilieneth, Non-Playable NPC - Terressa, called Tessa or Tess for short by her closer friends, has waist-length brown hair that has an even amount of blond streaking. In the summer, when she gets a lot of sun, it looks like two heads of hair battled for her head, and finally decided to just be friends and settled for mutual territory. Almond-shaped pale green eyes hint at some interesting mixes in her ancestry, along with the golden tone that her skin always has even in the winter. At only 5'0", she's often towered over by people. Her lips are generously curved and when she smiles her eyes light up and you can see her dimples. A serious young woman who is not without humor, Terressa is someone that you can depend on. She has a female feline who is named Midnight because she is as black as night, and is happily weyrmated to D'rol.

• Lord Ralliy - Lord Ralliy is a middle aged man with a big, stout stature. He stands at 6'5 and is slightly overweight. To go with his large frame are two big hands, which are always adorned with flashy rings. He has white-blond hair and gray eyes. Ralliy often wears bright colors, jewelry, and the finest fabrics Pern has to offer. Lord Ralliy is extremely extravagant, spoiled, and lavished with the finer things in life due to his status as Lord of Kohen. He's in love with wealth, popularity, eating, women, and attention, and seldom had time for his wife and children. He's calm and laid-back because he gets whatever he wants, and he often ignores plights that come to his Hold, forcing his Headwoman to handle the tough issues for him.

• Lady Alexindra - This Lady was a beauty when she was younger, but has since lost her youthful appearance. That doesn't lessen her looks, however. Her curly black hair is becoming streaked with silver, giving her an exotic flare and her stunning green eyes have never lost hold over people. Her body remains slender, lithe, and graceful, making her a disheartening sight to women who want to remain beautiful in their old age, but don't know the secret. Much like her husband, Lady Alexindra is spoiled and in love with her luxury. She splurges on the finest gowns and jewelry, and has very little maternal instinct. Like her husband, Alexindra also has the tendency to ignore things that could ruin her happiness.

• Lord Liyin - Liyin is the young teenage heir to Kohen Hold, and one of the sweetest boys you could ever come across. He's also frightfully brilliant. He has amazing problem-solving abilities and understanding, and continues to amaze people with his brains, but fails to get any of his points across to his parents. He has wide, pretty gray eyes and the curly black hair of his mother. He's skinny and lithe, but short yet at only 5'0". Liyin's pale skin is nearly immaculate, as opposed to the dirt and scars most boys his age collect. Being the cherished heir of Kohen means he's often put in gawky, princely clothing, which he absolutely hates.

• Lord Kental - This older Lord wears his brown hair short on both the sides and the top, with a ponytail running down his back. Since his hair comes to a point on his forehead, it adds to his hawk-like features to make him look like a bird of prey when his grey eyes pin themselves on you. Despite his appearance, or perhaps because of it, Lord Kental has a good sense of humor and a wry wit. He has a green flitter named Lady and has taken a younger wife and had his first child with her.

• Lady Melira - Melira is an earthy woman not quite in her fifties with brown hair that falls in shining waves down to the backs of her knees and large brown eyes. She's good at organizing, but doesn't yet have the confidence required to make her orders stick, although Kental is helping her in that area and she is steadily getting better. She is also the mother of Lord Kental's first and only son, Keltar.

• Lord Keltar - Keltar is the young and somewhat rebellious only child of Lord Kental and Lady Melira. Not to say that Keltar is not interested in his inheritance, for he is quite eager to become the Lord Holder of Altasaria, but the lesson that great privilege comes with great responsibility is one that this heir has still to learn. With wavy brown hair and his mother's brown eyes, along with his father's tall build, Keltar will probably have no trouble finding a willing wife when the time for marriage comes.

• Lord Cadore - A middle aged man with short black wavy hair and gray eyes, Lord Cadore has learned not to take everything too seriously and to concentrate on what matters most in life. He is very laid-back and willing to try new things, an attitude that has gained him a lot of respect among his holders.

• Lady Cidda - A few Turns younger than her husband, Lady Cidda has long, straight brown hair and blue eyes that miss nothing. While her husband is easy-going, she is the one who sets the boundaries so that her husband does not get taken advantage of.

• Lord Edamar - This old Lord has brown wavey hair that is streaked with gray and green-brown eyes that are still sharp with wit and intelligence. He is much loved by his holders and has trained all of his sons up to follow in his footsteps, knowing that it is up to the other Lords as to who will inherit his Hold when he dies.

• Lady Brana - This lady's long, straight black hair is beginning to turn gray with age although her brown eyes are always crinkled in a smile due to her eternal good nature. She's given her Lord many children, and trained all of the girls to be good organizers in the case that they may someday become Lady Holders themselves.

• Lord Droal - This man is in his early 30s with short, straight auburn hair and blue-green eyes. He has an oily smile and in the tradition of Bitran Lords, is adept at gambling and all of the ways in which to cheat at those games of chance.

• Lady Brissa - In her early 30s as well, Lady Brissa has wavy brown hair and blue eyes. She's a dab hand at assessing the worth of almost anything, and a great bargainer, being unwilling to part with any more money than is absolutely necessary in order to get what she wants.

• Lord Neiv - Lord Niev is in his late 30s and his sallow complexion does not go well with his straight black hair, which he keeps long. His blue eyes seem bored and disinterested in almost everything that goes on around him, but his memory of everything that is said gives the lie to his facial expressions. He is very good at steering a situation in the direction that he wants to without seeming to be doing so, using the personalities of those around him to suit his own ends.

• Lady Jolyanna - Lady Jolyanna is in her early 30s and has straight red hair that she keeps in a braid around her head and blue-green eyes. She is a simple soul who can look on the bright side of almost anything, and many think that Lord Neiv married her because she is one of the only people whom he can not manipulate. No matter what he does, she's still happy.

• Lord Olaren - Lord Olaren is in an older gentleman with graying brown hair that he keeps in a ponytail at the base of his neck. His grey-green eyes match his somewhat indifferent personality, for while he is a good Lord Holder, he rarely stirs himself to strong emotion for any reason and is very deliberate in his actions.

• Lady Cada - Lady Cada is a woman who appears to be in the late stages of pregnancy all the time, although she is now long past the childbearing age. She has brown hair that has that artificial sheen to it, suggesting that unlike her husband, she is not accepting the advances of age and is dying her hair. She has a sharp eye for any miscreants in her Hold, and that includes her many children.

• Lord Oden - The oldest of Lord Olaren and Lady Cada's children, Oden is already married to Ciadra, a woman who will make an excellent Lady Holder when the time comes. Although he is not sure when that will be, he lives in the Hold in his own apartments and runs much of the Hold business for his father.

• Lord Adul - A man in his late 30s with short, wavy brown hair and gray eyes, he is Lord only because there were no other blood relatives. He has very little idea of what he's doing, and goes along with whatever his vivacious and witty wife asks.

• Lady Rera - Lady Rera is in her late 30s with very long brown hair that she keeps in a braid and brown eyes. She is a vivacious and witty woman who is into everything. She was chosen to be the wife of Lord Adul by his father, and for obvious reasons.

• Lord Qaedric - A man in his early 40's with short brown hair and brown eyes, Lord Qaedric loves nothing more than to fish, although he is good at performing the duties that he has for his Hold as well. Every spare moment has him out on the water with a long-line and bait.

• Lady Lealla - A woman in her late 30s with long, wavy auburn hair and blue-green eyes, Lady Lealla doesn't mind letting her husband fish whenever he wants as it allows her to arrange things in the Hold to her own liking, only having to defer to his judgement on those matters that are deemed to important to be made without him. She discusses everything that she does with her husband later on though in order to keep him up to date with what is going on in his Hold.

• Lord Zaleg - Lord Zaleg is in his early 60s with very short, wavy brown hair and brown eyes. He has a placid nature and is cautious in his decisions, which usually works to his advantage. He is good at breeding runners, which is a good thing for his Hold since it is so large.

• Lady Gweana - Lady Gweana is also in her early 60s with long blonde hair and brown eyes. She shares her husband's placid nature and is good at organizing parties and such because very little makes her flustered.

• Lord Cirid - Lord Cirid is in his mid 40s with short, wavy brown hair and green-brown eyes. He has a solid understanding of his holders and thier needs and manages his Hold so well that there are few complaints from his holders.

• Lady Cora - Lady Cora is in her early 40s with wavy auburn hair and brown eyes. She has a sharp intellect and does not suffer fools gladly, but is compassionate to those in need.

• Lord Jareld - With short, wavy brown and blue-brown eyes, this middle aged Lord has a decent sense of humor and the ability to laugh at himself. He takes his job seriously, but insists that his Holders develop a healthy sense of humor about themselves, since he doesn't like things to get too serious.

• Lady Nyna - A short woman with very short blond hair and green-brown eyes, Nyna is more studious than her light-hearted husband, although she enjoys spending time in his company because he manages to cheer her up when she is feeling down. She is taken to the scholarly pursuits, and if Jareld needs something investigated, he knows that he can assign it to Nyna and it will be taken care of with a brisk efficiency.

• Lord Asardo - A brown man with brown, wavy hair and piercing blue eyes, Asardo is a smart man, who runs his Hold fairly and well. He enjoys the tropical climate and can be found most often fishing or swimming if he is not engaged in Hold business. He has a host of children from his first wife, who is deceased, and two daughters with his new love, Silonna.

• Lady Silonna - Long, straight blond hair and blue eyes make a striking picture for this very lovely young woman. Since Asardo has already got an heir and many other children as well, she is in no hurry to bear him a lot more, although the two daughters that she has bring her much joy. She is not too disposed to work on Hold business, but is very good at making sure that Asardo and the rest of the family cut a striking figure in public.

• Lord Heakon - A stout man with very short, straight auburn hair and green eyes, Keakon is a man with a quick temper for those he considers fools. Quick to make judgements, with or without the facts, he will admit he is wrong when presented with enough evidence, which is usually done by his wife.

• Lady Rurka - Rurka is a rake thin woman with long, curly brown and gray eyes. Unlike her husband, she is slow to answer, and good at reasoning things out. Often, people will aproach her to take matters to their Lord, since she has a way of handling Heakon's temper that no one else can match.

• Lord Zerrak - An older man with long black hair that is beginning to streak with gray and brown eyes, Zerrak is more likely to go with the flow than to fight them. He does an adequate job of pleasing his Holders and getting the best out of them, but for the most part, rarely interferes with them unless it is necessary. He has learned the art of delegation with his many sons, each of which are determined to impress their father with their diligence and hopefully be named as his heir.

• Lady Eledonna - Eledonna is a tired woman with long auburn hair and pale blue eyes. When she was younger, she was considered stunningly beautiful, and her daughters demonstrate this with their beauty since they take after her, but the Turns and the stresses of bearing Zerrak many children have worn her down over the Turns so that she is no longer quite the social creature that she once was.

• Lord Kino - Lord Kino is a widower who is nearing his sixties, with a large family that helps him out in the day to day running of his Hold. He is a tall, slender man with black hair and brown eyes, and has an understanding demeanor towards problems of all types which helps him in dealing with his holders. His wife Josarinh died a year after bearing their only child, Niyenah, and Lord Kino has never chosen to remarry. Since becoming Lord Holder, he has run into a good number of women vying for his attention, all hoping to become Lady of Arbric Hold.

• Lady Gracia - Lady Gracia (pronounced Gray-sha) is a woman who is at home in any situation, no matter how chaotic it may seem at first. She is actually Lady surrogate, filling in the position for her widowed brother who never remarried. Only a few Turns her brother's junior, but with no children of her own, Lady Gracia has helped raise the army of nieces and nephews that Kino's brothers and sisters produced. She is an excellent organizer and good at judging a person's abilities and skills to apply them to whatever task comes to hand without making them feel abused.

• Lord Andon - A Master of the Fishercraft, Andon could have become Masterfisher if not for his obligations to the Seahold. Along with his wife Janee, he has six children ranging in age from 48 to 31. Andon himself is now in his seventies and still quite vigorous. He no longer goes out fishing regularly with his fleet, but enjoys doing it occasionally. He is a tall, well-built man whose muscular frame is only just starting to go soft. His black hair is liberally sprinkled with grey, and his blue eyes have sun-creases at the corners. His skin is tanned and weathered, and he has a ready smile and a firm handshake.

• Lady Janee - Lady Janee, only a few Turns younger than Andon, is much smaller than her husband, tiny and light. She's a Journeywoman in the Fishercraft as well and has a wealth of auburn hair that is starting to silver with grey-blue eyes that sparkle with laughter. She is still slender and lithe and swims better than many of the Hold men.

• Lord Vandrad - Vandrad, along with his brother Jandron, is a twin. Vandrad is cheerful and outgoing. More at home on the back of a runner than on a ship, there has been some discussion that he and his brother will share leadership of the Seahold when their father passes on, with Vandrad concentrating on the land holdings, and Jandron taking charge of the ships. He's middle-aged with dark hair like his father and blue eyes as well as a tall stature. Vandrad is slender and wiry, taking after his mother.

• Lord Jandron - Jandron, along with his brother Vandrad, is a twin. Jandron loves the sea and feels more at home on the sea than on the back of a runner, unlike his brother. Like Vandrad, he has dark hair, blue eyes and a tall stature, but where Vandrad is slender and wiry, Jandron has a more muscular frame, and much resembles his father when Lord Andon was younger.

• Lord Tiamon - A man of medium height, Tiamon is a vast improvement over the former Holder. He is at times more sharp with people than he should be, but he has the respect of his Holders none the less and Holds both fairly and well. Smart enough to make the call that Cragsfell wouldn't be able to compete with the Fishercraft Hall now stationed at Brightcliff, he instead turned this Hold toward trading, something that he was very good at before he became Lord Holder, and is considered a dab hand at solving minor disputes that occasionally pop up. He has black hair, blue eyes, and is in his early fifties.

• Lady Tesilie - Lady Tesilie is a cheerful person with bundles of energy. She is a marvel at working with the staff, for although she may not be the best organizer, she never has to raise her voice to get results from her workers. She has chestnut colored hair and brown eyes with a smile that is perpetually in place. A Master tailor before she came forward with her husband to take over the running of Cragsfell Hold, she still finds time to ply her trade frequently and her staff is undoubtedly some of the best dressed on the Southern Continent.

• Lord Tisalon - A young lad now grown to manhood, Tisalon is the new heir to Cragsfell, and is learning everything that he can about the trading business so that he can help his father with the running of the Hold, which he shall be doing for quite some time since his father enjoys vigorous health. This doesn't seem to bother Tisalon though, and his temperament is somewhere between his mother and father's. He inherited his father's black hair and his mother's brown eyes.

• Lady Adamina - Lady Holder Adamina was the only child of Lord Holder Olery & Lady Helene and inherited Two Rivers when they died. She stands at 5'7" tall with gently wavy dark brown hair, slate blue eyes, and an average build. No stranger to hard work, this vivacious woman lives to make an indelible mark on Pern, she is often found outside her Hold working at some task.

• Lord Donlind -
