North Wall


Welcome to the Storm Fires Map pages. The New maps are under construction. Please enjoy what Storm Fires Weyr _Used_ to look like before the eruption. We will be putting up new maps as they get completed.

Welcome to the Storm Fires North Wall. At the Eastern most part of the wall is the main entrance to the Weyrbowl for people traveling on foot or by beast, with the Northern entrance into the Weyr's hals at the Northermost point of the wall. This wall is a great place for sunning dragons to get some sun all day long, with the best sun shining down at midday. As one follows the wall from left to right, they will first encounter the dragon infirmary, where injured dragons go to recuperate, and continuing along the wall takes you directly to the human infirmary, where the dragons' riders go if they are injured.

As one continues along the wall, they come to the main entrance to the Weyr's interior and off to the right are the large doors of the weyrling barracks, where young dragonets are often seen going in and out. These doors are huge and cleverly engineered so that a young rider or even a young dragonet may be able to open and close them easily. A little further on is the Dining Hall, where celebrations are held, and up above them are two seperate conference rooms for the Weyrleaders and Wingleaders use during times of threadfall.

At the base of this wall, and adjoining to the East Wall, are four weyrs that are lower than the others and have stairs carved into the rock leading up to them. These are the Queen's Weyrs.
