AOL: What is your real name and what is your character name?
Kirsten Storms: My real name is Kirsten Storms and I play Isabella Black on Days of our Lives.
AOL: So, tell us a little bit about Belle. Who is she?
Kirsten Storms: She's the daughter of John Black and Dr. Marlena Evans. She's the captain of the cheerleading squad and she's President of the Student Body. She's basically "little miss perfect" teenager. Everyone in high school kind of wishes they were her. It was funny because when I first auditioned for Days I didn't know who I was playing until I got here. I got my script the day before and they kind of kept it a secret and didn't really reveal who the character was. I was reading the script and was like, "oh my gosh" this is the girl that I'd always grown up wanting to be. You know she's perfect and has it really together. She cares about her friends more than anything else and is not materialistic, even though her parents are rich as God. She's a really sweet person and an excellent role model for kids, definitely.
AOL: What's the one thing that surprised you the most about Belle Black?
Kirsten Storms: I think when it comes to love, she's shy about the whole subject. She doesn't have a lot of experience with guys in the sense of having a boyfriend. She's so honest with her friends and her parents, that when it comes to Shawn Douglas, her one true crush, she can't tell him how she feels. That surprised me the most. Everything else is the typical reaction when it comes to guys and girls.
AOL: So, do you think that the teens that watch Days of our Lives are able to relate to Belle?
Kirsten Storms: I think that some teens can relate to Belle for the fact that she sticks up for people and she tries to help people out who aren't in the "popular crowd." I get a lot of fan mail from people who say, "I know I only made it through high school because I had a friend like Belle who was there for me when those kids were teasing me." I think that some people are able to relate to her, but I think most people whish that they knew someone like her. Which is kind of funny because I'm kind of nowhere and I'm not like Belle at all, so it's kind of weird!
AOL: So what can viewers expect to see in the future with your character? What's coming up for Belle?
Kirsten Storms: I think Belle's love story is going to start unfolding more. I've been seeing a lot of more of that lately and I'm really excited about that. Jason Cook, who plays Shawn Douglas, he and I are just like stoked about the fact that we're going to get to work together on this summer romance. Summer love, definitely.
