Stormy came to our offices today. Max brought him in all wrapped up in his new quilt that I made for him. I do have to say, "he did look cute and warm all wrapped up in red, white and blue."
Stormy received a lot of comments about his presence at my desk (and so did I). Most people were delighted to see him.
Stormy was a great help. He approved e-mails, guarded my cube, studied all the people walking the halls and even helped me with a new quilt design.
I enjoyed Stormy's visit and look forward to reading about his future adventures (of which I'm sure there will be plenty).
Yesterday Sue, Max's co-worker, sent a warm quilt as a present for me. It's red, white and blue on one side and all red on the other. The red side goes on the inside and is really warm. The winter's not very cold yet, but it'll get colder and it'll be nice to have a warm quilt.
Today I went to work with Max to see the office and thank Sue for thinking of me. Sue is very nice and a very accomplished quilter. Recently she made a quilt for the City of New York to let them know people in Colorado care about the troubles on the east coast.
I spent most of the day with Sue, watching over her shoulder or looking at the people who passed by her office. A lot of people wanted to chat with me. I had a lot of fun seeing how things work and meeting the hard working folks there.
