One Last Experience

Today is our last day here in Las Vegas. Max and Jenn want to make just one stop today -- Star Trek: The Experience! We walked down to the Hilton where this attraction is. We got there early, but discovered that The Experience does not open until 11 AM. We found a place called 'Paradise Cafe' and had breakfast there.

When the time came, we went back to check out the Star Trek stuff. They had a lot of really cool stuff in the Museum of the Future to look at. Most of it was stuff they used in the shows or the movies.

Before getting on the ride we had our pictures taken as a part of 'the mission'. The ride was fun and many of the "crew" members were excited to see me. Many of the people taking the ride also took notice of my presence. When the ride was over, we got to see why our pictures were taken. The folks here would put your head on the body of a crew member from any of the shows. I chose the Voyager crew and got a very nice picture. They got my rank wrong, but the picture is really nice!

We then took the ride a second time and afterwards chatted with a Klingon. He, too, signed my book. I guess Klingons aren't as bad as everyone always says.

After a half day at The Experience it was time to head back to Terrible's. It was time to think about heading home. We arrived at the airport early so we could go through the security line, but the ticket agent said the line was short and we could take an earlier flight, so we ended up heading home three hours ahead of schedule! We went through security very quickly and were ready to board in no time at all.

Grandma made sure we all had some snacks on the flight home. After eating my muffin and drinking my juice I got to watch us fly over the Grand Canyon. Soon it got dark and all I could see were lights on the ground. There were several different colors and some times the lights appeared in big groups and at other times they were lone lights, all by themselves in the dark. I've never seen anything like that before.

When we got to the Denver International Airport, we got the car after waiting in a very long passenger pick-up line. Waiting to get home was very hard. After making sure that mom and grandma got home safely, we went to a place called Wendy's to eat dinner. Max and Jenn like to go here, but this was my first time. They have some nice greens on the menu, so I'll be sure to come back here again.

Finally, it was back to the burrow! I do enjoy taking trips, but it sure is nice to come back home again and rest up. Home, sweet home!
