Kreme and Kops

I got up really early this morning to attend the opening of a "Krispy Kreme" dounut shop. It was dark and cold and a lot of police officers guided cars through orange cones to the establishment. I didn't get a chance to snag a dounut, so I'm not sure why a radio station was there and police and an ambulance and why so many people came here at such an early hour, but I guess all those people can't be wrong!

One of the guys with the radio truck noticed me and started telling people that he knew me from a prior event, then everyone started looking at me and asking for business cards! I didn't realize this, but I'm turning out to be one famous marmot!

After the grand opening I went home, crawled in my blanket and slept. I needed to gather up some strength for a late night because my friend Roger (Officer Stearns) was still in town and he and Melody were going to come over for dinner that night.

Stormy

Once again I have returned to Colorado and I must say, Stormy has been quite active since my last visit. In short, I'm impressed. This marmot is far more active than most I know in Fleet. As good as it was to see Stormy again, the real pleasure was visiting with my old friend Max and his keeper, Jenn. And surprise, surprise, did anyone know Max is domesticated? Melody and I enjoyed having a great dinner prepared by Max himself. After dinner Max, Jenn, Melody and I engaged in some game play. Melody won the Star Trek trivia game ... and I think I'll leave the rest unsaid ... at least by me. I've enjoyed the visit to Colorado and seeing my friends here from the USS Omega Glory, USS Pioneer and USS Matrix. My thanks to all of you and to Stormy. Especially to Max and Jenn.
