This was my first New Year's party. We had lots of people over to our burrow to help celebrate the event. In addition to the Omega Glory, some of our friends from the USS Pioneer were there, as were a few other good friends. Sandy and I got to spend time with Hootie from the USS Athena and Riker Bear from USS Pioneer.
A great time was had by all. We ate lots of food and played board and card games long into the next morning. At midnight everyone got drinks of their liking and toasted in the year of 2002. It is a tradition for the commanding officers and the executive officers of the represented ships to toast in the new year with Dr. Pepper at this time.
The party went very well and everyone is looking forward to gathering again next year.
