The Olympic Torch Relay

Hello, Stormy!

I am writing in your travelogue about the Olympic Torch Relay that we went to see in Civic Center Park. Jenn, Kimmy and I joined you and about two thousand other patriotic Denverites to see the torch come through our city on the way to Salt Lake City.

We started the night off with a dinner at one of our favorite spots in Cherry Creek -- Noodles. It was pretty cold, so when we got to the downtown site we stopped for coffee and hot cocoa at Starbucks. We needed the warming up and when we left to go to the park it started to snow! It was perfect weather for the torch relay.

We met one of the torch bearers from Golden and got our picture taken with him. Jenn got some great shots of you on the big screen "Tron". Kimmy tried to get us up close to the torch cauldron, but one of the Guardian Angels stopped us. It was okay because then we got to meet Denver Mayor Wellington Webb and his wife. That was pretty special because you got his autograph in your book.

We topped off the night by meeting the Guardian Angels and getting most of their autographs. It was a very special night. Thank you for inviting me to spend it with you and Jenn.

Stormy, I have to admit, you really get around. I'm very impressed by how outgoing and friendly you are!
