Today we took a journey out to the Aurora Reservoir for an event called "Fire and Ice". It was really cold and windy. The first thing we came across at the event was a big fire. It was nice and toasty by the fire. I liked the breaks we took sitting by it, getting warm. I just don't understand why people don't hibernate in the cold of winter!
Other things we saw there included my radio friends from "The Hawk". They even asked to take my picture! There were some funny looking guys dressed in orange suits. Max said they were rescue workers. There was a big wall for climbing and many fire trucks. Some people were carving statues out of ice...and the really dumb ones were jumping into a hole cut in the ice in the reservoir. That looked really cold! How crazy can these humans get???
It was a busy day, but I was very happy when Max and Jenn decided to head back to our burrow.
In the evening we went to dinner at The Armadillo and then we headed to see some girls sing. Max said the building we went to is a school. It's one of many buildings around town set up to make little humans smart.
This school was called Cherry Creek and we sat in a big hollow burrow in red and purple seats. The music was enjoyable and it was a fun evening.
