Two words sum up the childe of Malkav; insane and insight. All members of the clan are insane (at least one derangement) and even though some are capable of appearing and acting 'normal', their madness is never far beneath the surface. Although most of them talk nonsense it would be a fool who ignores them completely as their ramblings often contain glimpses of things to come or insight into events that have already occured.

The mind of a Malkavian emits thoughts and information that is picked up by other clan members. Unfortunately there seems to be no way of controlling want is 'sent' or 'recieved' and the babble of this 'Madness Network' is the first thing that a newly embraced Malkavian experiences. The sudden influx of voices in their heads is what drives a Malkavian into madness. Many clan members make their havens in Lunatic asylums where their strange behaviour goes unnoticed. It is also here that most new clan members are embraced. In recent years the clan seems to have turned more sinister. The madness spreading discipline of Dementation, once only known by the Sabbat, has spread like a plague through the rest of the clan and now replaces Dominate as a clan Discipline
