The members of clan Toreador probably spend more time among humans than the members of any other clan. They have developed an eye for beauty and often act as patrons to aspiring artists. As well being surrounded by beautiful things, they like to appear beautiful themselves and because of this they often seem to be very superficial

Most Toreador are skilled artists or performers although some clan members have been chosen purely because of thei good looks. Their use of the Presence discipline makes them very popular and they often use it to enhance their performance. In many Camarilla run cities clan members form cliques where they will exchange gossip and scandals and pass judgement on what is fashionable. Among the status conscious kindred of the Camarilla, gaining the anger of these 'Harpies' often leads to embarressment and sometimes even to loss of some of their status as others hear embarressing rumours or secrets that the unfortunate kindred had thought well hidden. Their love of beauty can sometimes overwhelm their senses and occassionally a Toreador will seem to be entranced by a work of art or a piece of music and will be oblivious to their surroundings.
