Mt. Washington
Mt Washington is located on Vancouver Island off the West coast of
British Colombia, outside of a town named Courtney. Geographically, Mt
Washington sits just across the Straights of Georgia and down the Howe
Sound from Whistler Ski Resort so it shares its great champaign powder .
I first skied Mt. Washington two years ago on one of their free days, they have one
on the first day of each season. Well it had been the first time in a couple of season that IĠd been
on a pair of skis and it was truly a memorable time. Since I had arrived late in the day
the pros in the rental shop lent me all the gear for free, well I did get in a couple of hours
of runs and it was insane to be on a pair of skies again. I had the best time. Also the Apri
Ski is in full swing at Mt Washington. It rocks in Fat Teddies Bar and Grill. The people are a
friendly and unpretentious lot, always willing to make a new kid feel right at home.
I love Mt Washington and am waiting for this years free day, I'll be there!
Also Mt Washington has Mtn Biking during the summer months.
