Sunshine Village
Sunshine Village was built in 1929 and has been in operation ever since. Located in a natural snow bowl, Sunshine receives the most and the best quality of snow in the
Provincial park. When you first arrive at Sunshine Village you find yourself in the base area parking lot, miles away from the ski hills. First purchase your lift passes and then Board the brand new gondola for a twenty minute ride up the pass to the base facilities. Sunshine is the closest hill to town, if you forget Norquay. Also Sunshine Village is the only place in the park with on hill accomadations. Sunshine is better for skiers than snowboarders because of its large flat areas. Sunshine likes snow boarding but most boarders go to Lake Louise or stay in town at Mt Norquay.
