So you want to know about me, huh? Well, you've come to the right place. Er, clicked on the right link... Anyway, my full name is Allison Catherine Johnson. I was born on January 17, 1985 in Rockford, IL. I have a younger sister, Jeana, at whose arrival home I have been told I said, "Take her back to the hospital." However, |

I am glad she wound up staying. We're three years apart and get along great, for the most part. As far as pets go, we currently have 4 cats, a dog, a newt, a hamster, and a turtle that resides in my room. Hence that odd little drawing of Goldie sitting by stick-figure me. I've lived my whole life in Lindenwood, about 20 miles south of Rockford, and we have a creek running through our backyard. One of my lifetime goals is to someday live by water, be it a creek, pond, or whatever. I attended preschool at the Valley Covenant Church in Stillman Valley, which is about 10 miles west of my hometown. Kindergarten was spent at Monroe Center Grade School 3 miles or so outside of Lindenwood, as was 4th and 5th grades. I attended 1st through 3rd grades at Highland Grade School, and 6th through 8th at Meridian Junior High, both also in Stillman. I |
graduated from Stillman Valley High School in '03 (go band!) and am now at Illinois College in Jacksonville pursuing an art degree and possibly going for a minor in music. As far as jobs go (yes, Paul, I am copying your format - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? :) I have had something like three. My first job was boat detailing/store inventory at Even Keel Marine in Rockford in the summer of '01. I only worked there for a month because school was |
starting and the work was incredibly boring and hard on the hands and knees anyway. My |
next so-called job was playing my clarinet for the Kable Concert Band in Mt. Morris the next summer. That one was fun. It's strange calling it a job but I did get paid per hour. Even more so than the last job. The summer of my senior year I tried selling Cutco, which I soon quit trying because I hate making phone calls like that, and by some luck wound up working at the high school library for two months. That was definitely my ideal job. So quiet, surrounded by books... I am presently awaiting information on some campus jobs I applied to, but they aren't exceptional at giving feedback. I have been starting to look around off-campus. Such ends my working career thus far. I suppose an account of my (practically nonexistential) personal life is in order. I never had a serious boyfriend before my senior year of high school. Yeah, there was Michael in kindergarten |
and the kid I liked in 4th grade who liked me back, and someone junior year who lasted about a day, but that was it. At Stillman, anyone in the "nerd" group never stood a chance. But that was okay with us! As it happened, Paul and I met and started talking in December of '01. Wouldn't you know it, we started dating in October of '02 and it's now been over a year. Even though we are used to the whole distance thing, it is still hard being so far away (he goes to Westwood College of Technology near Chicago). I love Paul. My head says forever is an impossibly long time to be with someone, but my heart says I hope it just might happen. :) |
Not bad for an art major, don't you think? |
I wonder if Newton's Law will make an appearance today... |
