This past August my friends and I spent a weekend in Toronto because: the BSB were going to be there and we had a room booked in their hotel! Their show was on the Saturday (August 22 - Howies b-day) but we went up on Friday because they were getting in from Winnipeg that day. We didn't have tickets for the show (they did two on Saturday) because we were away when they went on sale but that's okay because we were talking to some scalpers. They wouldn't let us check into the hotel as soon as we arrived in the morning so we waited across the street. My friend Chrissy and I were on a pay phone when two vans pulled up. Who gets out? Oh The Backstreet Boys! We ran across the busy Toronto street but not in time for pictures. That's okay because about a half hour later Nick came walking out of the hotel and got into a car. Nick is Chrissy's favorite and she's just mesmerized to be close to him. My friend Luisa and I are snapping pictures for her and when doesn't my man walk out! Oh, it's Brian! He gets into a separate car and I'm snapping away! Well we thought that was awesome until the bellboy tells us that they're headed for the Nike Outlet. Luisa (who likes A.J.) hung back with some friends but Chrissy and I hail a cab and are on our way! We arrived at this huge store and excitingly walked in. We walked down some stairs and around the corner and there was Nick and Brian! We were very good in the store because they were with security guards and you didn't want to be rude. After all, they are normal guys just trying to shop. So we put our cameras away and just as nonchalantly as possible watched them shop. We lost Nick but we saw Brian leave. I grabbed Chrissy and said, "let's go!" She didn't know what was going on till we got upstairs and she saw Brian outside. He was there with just his bodyguard and a store clerk. Chrissy turns to me and says, "Nadia, this is your chance, go out there and get a picture!" So at that exact moment I just put my bag down and walked out side. He was right there! I politely asked the security guard if I could take a picture with him. The security guard called Brian and Brian looked at me. I politely asked him if I could take a picture with him and he said "Yeah." He was so cute and so sweet. Then I asked for a hug and he hugged me! I was so happy and my friends were so happy for me that after we left, I started to cry. It was so emotional for me; my biggest dream came true. It was the happiest day of my life (until that point). We did end up getting tickets for the daytime show, which ended up being front row! We went from not having any tickets at all to having front row. It was so awesome! The guys were looking at us because we were doing the dances with them. Also, I have Brian's Kentucky hat which he noticed and smiled and pointed at me. Nick sang a line of "Anywhere for You" right to Chrissy! It was so awesome except at the end A.J. got hurt and couldn't finish We've Got It Goin' On and Backstreets Back. That was unfortunate for those going to the night show because he ended up in the hospital that night. But we know he's okay now! As if that wasn't enough for us, that night back at the hotel we found out when they were leaving for their after-party. So we went down to the lobby and got great pictures of them when they walked through. Kevin waved right to Nicole! It was so amazing, the greatest weekend of my life!!!
