How long have you been bowling? 20 years

High Series: 752
Are you a native Texan? No
If not, where were you born and how did you end up in Texas? I was raised in Sioux Falls, SD, and went to college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. While at school I met my future husband, Paul. After we graduated in 1993 we made a mutual decision to move to Texas, based on job opportunities for me and bowling opportunities for Paul. We get to have the best of both worlds in Texas!
Left Handed or Right Handed: Right
What equipment do you throw? Mostly Storm equipment
What is your favorite all-time bowling ball? My Spare-Storm; it's the one I use the most!
What female bowler(s) do you admire the most and why? Carolyn Dorin-Ballard. I admire her not only for her immense talent, but also for her intense determination and desire to win. She is totally committed to the sport of bowling and wants to improve the sport, not only for bowlers at the professional level, but for everyone.
What female bowler(s) from Texas do you admire the most and why? Debbye Berry and Luci Bonneau. Debbye was one of the first bowlers that I met after moving here, and she has been a person I have admired since. Her bowling talent speaks for itself, but I have to say that I feel her mental game is even better. She has taught me more about inner confidence and focus than anyone else. She has singularly helped to improve my bowling game, and made my life richer by just being a friend. Luci Bonneau was a person who I learned alot from by just watching her. She was one who was gracious in winning or losing, and earned more respect from the the things she didn't do than the things she did. You never heard or saw Luci do anything in a disrespectful way. She was always supportive to everyone and always one that you enjoyed to watch on or off the lanes. I feel that I was very lucky to have known Luci, if only for a short time. What I learned from her in these past few years will stay with me for years to come.
Describe your most memorable bowling experience(s)? It would have to be winning the 1991 National Collegiate Championship in Columbus, OH. We led the entire tournament and then beat West Texas State in the stepladder on ESPN. To be able to win that tournament is a feat in itself, but to be able to share that win with four other teammates is an unbelievable feeling.
What is the funniest or most embarassing thing in bowling you have ever seen or experienced? When Sherri Osier and I battled Tropical Storm Opal to get to a regional in Baton Rouge, LA in 1995. Just picture two blondes in a Ford Probe loaded down with bowling equipment, driving through southern LA at 10pm in a blinding rainstorm determined to get to the tournament. Of course, neither one of us had heard of checking the Weather Channel and we didn't know what had hit us until the next morning. It was categorized as a "9" on our "blonde" scale.
